Episode 5 Plot Prediction/Ideas
Okay, yes, yes I know. These have been done a fair bit. But just bear with me, I think I have a pretty okay idea of what it will be like. Using the Achievement titles and what we know of the episode, I have made a guess which I hope some people will find enjoyable. Also, sorry if some of my predictions favour one character over the other. I am not perfect, and I do have biased opinions on some characters. Bonnie is certainly my favourite out of what's left of the group (sorry Kenny!) Also, sorry if it is rather long. I thought I had some good ideas.
Okay, the episode begins where we left off. Firefight and shootout, QTE's, etc. I'm thinking Mike will probably die here, but I will be pleasantly surprised if he makes it out, because that would be a bit too predictable, and he seems like a pretty cool guy. I am also thinking Bonnie will be wounded. On the Russian side I expect Vitali, and Buricko/Maud to die. Buricko/Maud may survive wounded, or run off. You will be given the choice to spare Arvo, who gets left behind on account of his leg and just leave him there, or to kill him in revenge. Killing Arvo is what Kenny wants, Luke wants to leave him. Kenny, the baby, Clementine, Bonnie, and Luke survive, and there may be a quick part mourning Mike (and Rebecca), and then choosing to put him out of his misery, or prevent him from coming back. I could see Bonnie as being more distraught over this than the others. Then the group moves out. Maybe before you head out Kenny or someone says "we better get moving, they could have friends coming", or you will hear more of Arvo's group approaching, you leave and escape. They wouldn't play a major part in the episode, it's just a scene to thin the herd a little more and get you moving. Blood and Iron
The next scene opens up an hour or so later, Clem's group is safe and they take a breather. I could see it as being a hub area. Bonnie or whoever is injured gets patched up some more, and everyone takes a rest. Luke takes lookout, Kenny watches the baby. Clem talks to them about what is going to happen now, where are they going to go, etc. Typical stuff. Luke will probably say something like "I don't like how Kenny is acting with that baby, he thinks it's his now" and Kenny will probably say something about Luke as well. A slower character based moment. The plot will continue once Clem interacts with a certain object, or if you choose to side with Luke or Kenny on another decision. Miles to Go
It will be another small timeskip, it's turning night time now, the group finds a place to sleep for the night, they kill a couple walkers and make sure it is safe. Maybe at an abandoned campground nearby, and they set up a fire. They complain of the cold and how harsh it is getting. It's really starting to snow a bit. You may have to search the area for things you can use to help keep warm. Maybe search walker bodies like Jane taught you. Check on Bonnie and comfort her, make sure she is alright. Maybe have a bonding moment with the baby. Then everyone goes to sleep, Kenny holding the baby saying he will keep watch while they rest. Right of Frost
I expect this next scene to be a very action packed part of the episode. Everybody, including Kenny, is woken by the baby crying and the fire dying down. (Rebecca asked when was the last time Kenny had slept in Episode 4, and she looked concerned, so this could be a nice moment for that). Everybody wakes up, it's dark. The scene is only illuminated by the faint orange glow from the fire. You hear noises in the dark. Kenny tries to quiet the baby down. Clem and Luke stand there, weapons drawn, Bonnie is awake and on the ground, with her gun out, still in pain obviously. The tension would build, the noises drawing closer. Then the walkers will come slowly from the dark. Emerging one after the next. You have to shoot them, stab them, or you have QTE events (or all). The group is unable to kill them all and begins to get overwhelmed. Everyone runs. Kenny with the baby, then Clem, with Luke further back helping Bonnie. You can choose to run ahead with Kenny and the baby and leave them, or you can stay back and help Luke. Either way, everybody escapes the camp, but it will effect your relationship with Luke or Kenny.
The group continues towards the river crossing mentioned in Episode 4, running through the dark to their destination, trying to escape the small herd following them. Assuming the crossing is a bridge, the group tries to make it over the weakened structure. Kenny, at this point, gets grabbed by a walker that appeared to be a dead body. At the same time, part of the bridge gives out and Bonnie falls down the open hole. You can choose to help Luke save Bonnie (he is still too weak to pull her up by himself) or you can help kill the walker that has Kenny. If you help Luke, Bonnie will live, but Kenny drops the baby, or something happens causing the baby to die in the ensuing chaos. If you help Kenny, the baby makes it, but Bonnie falls in the river and drowns or is impaled on the debris (I don't think anyone has drowned in the Walking Dead comics or game, so this could be cool). The group makes it the rest of the way across the bridge, it collapses with the walkers on the other side, their weight bringing it the rest of the way down. Center Cannot Hold
The group stops in the early hours of the morning. Taking a breather. You talk to who is left. Kenny, Luke, and maybe Bonnie.
- If you helped Luke save Bonnie, they thank you and express regret for the baby. You talk to Kenny and he is, well, not great. He isn't angry at Clementine like in the situation with Sarita. He is just there. He barely speaks. He has just given up basically. Catatonic. Luke says they should leave him behind now that he is basically dead weight, you can choose to stand up for Kenny, or agree with Luke. Kenny comes no matter what, but it will be an important decision.
- If you helped Kenny, he is just thankful the baby made it, he barely acknowledges Bonnie's death. Luke is upset, but this makes him angrier. They argue, and Kenny blames the situation on Bonnie partly anyway because she led Carver to the lodge. Clem takes care of the baby while they argue. You can try to defuse the situation or pick a side. They come to blows no matter what, but depending on who you side with (or stay neutral) will matter All the Dark Night
The group makes it to the town across from Parker's Run. It's cold and quiet. They see some walkers but the cold and the snow have started to affect them. They're slowing down and becoming less aggressive. Some sit there and just weakly swipe at them. The group finds some supplies and searches the area. If you have the drawing of Kenny and his family still, you can give him it during this scene, maybe name the baby? Eventually they find a car and they get it to work with a little scavenging.
- If baby is alive, Kenny watches it with the truck while Luke and Clem look for what is needed.
- If Bonnie is alive, she stays at the truck with Kenny (who is still just kind of sitting there) while Luke and Clem look for stuff. This is just a short quiet moment for some character development. Might have a walker moment in a gas station or something.
Luke and Clem can get along while searching, or he can be very upset with her and she can be apologetic or sassy back. They get what they need and get the truck working. They drive from the town and head north We Slowly Drove
Now it's another time skip. I am not sure how long it would take to drive that far north, especially in the apocalypse and no plows for snow on the road (not to mention walkers and wrecks). So I will just say a two week skip. They approach closer to Wellington, the snow gets heavier. Maybe a blizzard picks up. The car dies, or can't move any further. They walk through a blizzard that comes up on them. This will be the best part for the King Wenceslas foreshadowing from episode 2 to come in. Clem gets separated in the snow from the others. She can't see them anywhere.
- If baby is alive, he is with Kenny who is shouting for Luke and Clem
- If Bonnie is alive, she is with Luke, they are shouting for Kenny and Clem.
The decision comes here. You eventually see them both in the distance, on opposite sides of the road. Depending on who you sided with the most in all the episodes (or maybe just 2 through 5) Clementine will make the decision herself. She will choose to go with Kenny and the baby (or catatonic Kenny), or Luke and Bonnie (or upset Luke). You will be unable to see the other person or group after the choice has been made, and Clem shouts for them, but they can't be heard or seen. Whoever she picks will make it into a rest stop with her. Then you can argue to go back out for the other person, since they weren't too far away. But you will be forced into staying inside to wait it out for whatever reason. Kindly Stop For Me
The next morning the blizzard has passed. The group (whoever it is by that point) leaves the small shelter and goes outside to look for the others. You will find them half buried in snow, dead. Maybe in a playground near the rest area. They froze out in the blizzard at night. This could just be Kenny, Kenny and the baby, Luke, or Luke and Bonnie. Once you get closer and try to wake them up, they try to attack you and you have to kill them, or break free and leave them. (the baby, well, I don't know if they can show that, and it couldn't really attack you as a walker). This scene could be played out kind of like the thumbnail for the episode with a them half buried in the snow as walkers. You're group continues on, but the cold is starting to get to them. They are weak, hungry, low on energy, tired. They eventually make it to the outskirts of Wellington, but they believe it to be abandoned or overrun for whatever reason and just kind of give up and sit there. Maybe a walker shambles over to them and they ignore it because they are just done. Then a gunshot rings out and the walker drops dead.
The group is picked up by someone from Wellington. Maybe Christa, or Lilly (if the rumours are true, or one of the 400 days characters that stayed behind, or someone new. Whoever it is, they take you to Wellington. You enter and see a rather large settlement that is doing quite well. The rest of the 400 days characters that stayed, other random background characters. Then it might end on some sort of cliffhanger. I am not sure. All the Dead Lie Down
I was also thinking of an alternate way of this happening. Clem goes through the blizzard with just the baby. She eventually just gives up. everyone else is dead or lost by this point (don't know how). She lies down in the snow waiting to die. That's when she hears the gunshot, or someone approaches, and it may play out similarly.
Sorry this is so long, and that the ending seems rushed. It's late (or early) and I have to go to bed.And I am not sure how well it could work with all those characters ending up determinant. But we were told there would be a lot of choices and multiple endings (or I think we were told that), so there you go. So to those who read all the way through it, what do you think? Would this be a good way for the episode to go? Do you think it could play out similarly? Do you have similar ideas? Discuss please!

That's great! But I'd like to make the Pizza and Ice Cream decision by myself.
i love this its really good but i do agree with inKennyWeTrust
Yeah, I figured a lot of people would like to make that decision themselves. I'm on the fence for it. But with everybody complaining that none of their decisions have mattered this season, I thought that this would be a clever way to show that they have mattered, just not in the way you might have expected.
i think that clementine would be the one holding the baby yes she is a badass but luke doesn't trust kenny and kenny doesn't trust luke but they both trust clementine see that could be an choice we the player can say if we held the baby in episode 4
