i bitch and whine if you want to put it that way about episode 4 season2,but HOW IN GODS NAME has this been made into a thread???? season 1 … moreis perfection, molly might be cartoonish but it's perfection,it's threads like this that give the other season 2 what went wrong thread a bad name,i understand the OP has some issues with the content etc etc but your in a very small minority here talking about season 1.
Thanks!
And I'm not saying that season 1 is bad. I just want to point out that both season have their fair share of problems, they are great, and season two deserves to be criticized, but it does. not. deserve. the. HATE!
Why are you trying to prove my thread is wrong by going on and on about what you didn't like in season 1???? None of the complaints I concentrated on this season even have anything remotely to do with the first season!
My thread isn't "S1 was better, therefore S2 sucks."
So what are you trying to say? "S1 wasn't great. So S2 shouldn't be great either."
My criticism about season one is valid, but you did not get my point. I pointed out the flaws in season one because people act like season one was perfect and season two is the worst game of all time. I tried to show people that the flaws they pointed out have partly been in season one as well.
You should read my second update and concentrate on that.
All the hate that's been around on this forum makes it really hard to have fun around here.

Apparently people around here think I hate the guys who point out the flaws of season two. I just wanted to point out that there's too much unnecessary hate around here in the moment. Look at the quotes I posted. That's unnecessary, insulting and stupid.
How the fuck does it take you 30 minutes to get a map?
You got some alcohol. Give it to Chuck, because the bottle obviously belongs to him in his section of the cabin, he suggests if anyone else wants a drink they get some. Ben and Clem are kids. Kenny's a wreck. Duh. Hell, he even sends you back to the Cabin with Clem where the booze is in the first place.
You wanna berate Season 1 because it frustrated you that it didn't have simple solutions like the bullshit Turbine puzzle in S2E2?
Grow up.
The game was NOT good enough so that I did not notice them.
Long Road Ahead: Getting the Map. Kenny is sitting on the Chair. IT TOOK ME 30 MINUTES TO GET THE DAMN MAP. That was dumb as hell.
Dude! There's a map and the character IS NOT ABLE TO LEAN FORWARD AND GET IT!?
At least be honest and admit that this puzzle was complete bullshit.
Turbine puzzle? Did I miss something? There's been a puzzle in Episode 2? I wanted to sarcastically berate season one because I could not stand the TONS of hate that's been going around in this forums about season 2?
Shut up.

I never said Season 1 was perfect. Never said Season 2 is the worst game of all time.
You should read my second update and concentrate on that.
Ok then.
At this point, I'm defending the episode, the game and Telltale JUST BECAUSE.
Um well sorry but I have legitimate reasons in my thread and other people do too. Not "just because".
Why are you starting a thread calling people out for being "blind haters" while you do the same thing? Insulting and using slurs against anyone who disagrees with you. Whenever that behavior appeared in my thread, I did my best to shut it down and so did others whether or not they actually agreed. Meanwhile here you are, poking a hornet's nest and telling people who reply with solid answers that they're "just hating" too, and their criticism doesn't kiss Telltale's ass so it shouldn't exist.

I'm just too tired of this shit too discuss with you. I'm gonna leave this crappy community. Too much fucking hate about every little thing and I just can't stand this shit anymore.
Instead of seriously discussing that there's too much hate, you concentrate on how you can defend Your position how you don't like seaosn two and I'm a bad guy. I'm insulting haters because I tried to discuss over and over again but people who like the second season are apparently not appreciated around here.
See you, I'm leaving this forum until the fifth episode,
I'd appreciate if you'd comment on the hate that's spreading around the forum. If you really do share the opinion that "telltale took a shit at all the fans", "is just greedy for money", deserves to be "ashamed" and that they "Paid websites for the ratings", then I feel pity for you.

Sure there are people going around like "season 2 sux you're stupid for liking it lolz". But whenever that happened in my thread, I called it out. As for the rest of the forums, it would be a bit much to expect me to have eyes on everything.
You seem to have a problem on the forums not with the "haters" who I would call ppl like the ones I described above, you seem to have a problem with people who are giving legitimate criticism of the writing in general, because you're just "tired of it".
Well sorry if it's annoying to you, but it's not much of a forum if people aren't allowed to disagree.

As I pointed out, I' not annoyed by people who criticize the game. Maybe you'll remember that I agreed with you on some of the flaws you mentioned.
I just can't stand that everything is blown out of proportion. When you re-read the thread, you'll notice that A LOT of people tend to insult Telltale or say that Telltale does not care about them anymore. I can't stand that crap. (Sorry for calling it crap).
I think that criticizing the game is good. Because it actually helps Telltale to get better. There have been certain flaws in this season, and while Nick's Death did not bother me, I think that the fourth episode did not offer me any illusion of choice anymore.
Still, you don't get my point if you think I have a people who give legitimate criticism. Most of the criticism I mentioned about season one is valid too, and I get hated for it.
Yes, there have been too many threads about this topic as well. The "Fucking Hell, Telltale" thread contains legitimate criticism, but it is still insulting. That's unnecessary and I feel sorry for telltale to have such a fucking shitstorm in their own community forum. I wish they'd have more loyal fans. And by that I don't mean that you should kiss telltale's ass. Give them hell for their mistakes. Tell them that you hated nicks and sarah's deaths. Ask them to answer you.
But once I read stuff like "they are literally paying game journalists to write something good about their games", and "Let's just convince TTG to declare Ep4 as a nightmare", sorry, but only little arrogant pricks are saying these things.
I know you cannot have an eye on everyone, I'm not asking you too.
I was just hoping for some people to say "You're right, there's an ridiculous amount of hate going around ATM." I'd love to discuss the fourth episode with you on a calm level, but I'm just sick of this crappy community.

There's a difference between saying you didn't like an episode, then going on to state why and saying that Telltale's writers suck and whatever else that people have said. I know that I personally wouldn't listen to a fair bit of what's said.
That is what the original poster has a problem with and quite rightly so, as do I. We don't have a problem with the criticism itself really, even if it does get a bit tiresome at times when there are barely any positive threads.
Anyhow, in response to the OP:
While it's not directly in response at all, there was a thread earlier that I came across where people gave ratings to the episodes. A lot of the ratings were between 8 - 10, so not bad ratings at all. Though sure, some did give low ratings.

Only issue I have, and it's not really an issue, is that I wished choices mattered more in Telltale's games and I'm well aware of how difficult it is to implement.
But yeah, I've enjoyed both, as I enjoyed The Wolf Among Us.
i don't have a problem with season 2,i love it up until the end of ep3,but there is no use burying your heads in the sand and pretending the episode didn't have major major flaws, because it did.
This is the latest episode so you will get this negativeness while fans are on here as it's currently new out, once ep5 is released fans will be talking about episode 5,im looking forward to Lilly returning,so just to be clear im not a hater xD

I don't care if people don't like the game, it's just when people talk shit about TTG. I've talked bad about the writing, but i would never say things like TTG sucks or i could do a better job.
You see where you mention 'burying our heads in the sand' and 'pretending the episode didn't have major flaws because it did'?
1) You imply that, because we didn't have any real issue with the episode or because we're not complaining, we are blind to the faults and just want to praise the episode. That's not so, at least in my case. But then I don't take games seriously and I don't nitpick every little thing. Nothing is perfect. (And please, no-one say season 1. It was damned good however, and one of the best stories I've seen told.)
2) You act like it's a fact that episode 4 has problems when it isn't a fact. It's simply an opinion that you and others share, which may or may not be the majority. (Often the complainers are the vocal ones, giving a skewed impression that the majority hates the game)
So, if people could stop acting like they speak for the majority and if people could stop thinking their opinion equals fact, I think we might then actually have something to talk about.
As an aside, I think you should stop hoping for Lilly to turn up. If she doesn't, you'll be on here complaining, adding to the numerous complaint threads that are bound to crop up at episode 5's release. If she does though? Then hey, it's a bonus.

So is it that you just want people to be more polite as they criticize Telltale's decisions? Ok fine, but you really don't need to invalidate everything they're saying just because it's not sugarcoated.
Telltale's decisions are problematic and alienating to their most loyal fanbase. People who defended Telltale's characters and their writing up to this point had been extremely praising and grateful to Telltale. They were constantly mocked by the other side of the fanbase who were all "lol X Character is Useless (tm)". Now by Telltale's own decisions, they have been suddenly and completely marginalized, ignored, and alienated. I would say that they have a right to express how upsetting that is.

I'm not invalidating it. You're still not listening, and this is where things get problematic, because you're too full of yourself to see the fact that it still is just YOUR OPINION. I don't praise telltale. I DID point out flaws of season one and two. I'm sick of this hate shit.

I've already said that the only "unnecessary hate" has already been shut down in my thread, and everything else that you view as "hate" is legitimate criticism.
Telltale's decisions are problematic. This has nothing to do with "Boo hoo, I'm mad I didn't get my way." And I have already explained how multiple times. I don't have to again.
And for the last time. Season 1 doesn't have to be picked apart in order to recognize that Season 2 is weak.

Now, you see where you mention the 10 year old thing? That's the sort of thing I wouldn't listen to as an artist. Be mindful of how you put your criticism across and also how your words might affect those involved. Picture yourself as the creator of this game, reading everything that's said and think about how you might feel.
Luckily, artists are taught to have thick skins no matter the medium. But yes, also be mindful that nothing is ever easy to create. At least anything that isn't rubbish, no matter how much practise you may have had.
And if you really want to see what a ten year old writes like, you can have a laugh at my expense:

my point seems to be lost,i could of said written by a monkey, but im sure some monkey somewhere is reading this and going 'excuse me' ...xD , when a fan reaction is as strong as this, you will get emotional, passionate responses to something you like to play or love including negativeness and critisim you should know this being an artist?

I hope that shows how daft sounding the comment was even though I'm sure you didn't mean it literally.
And yes, I know this full well. I also know that nothing will ever satisfy everyone.
I would say that if anyone's point was missed, it was mine, especially as you mentioned monkeys.
Let me talk about one time that something has leapt out at me as being poorly done and I'm sure others will disagree with me or think I'm off my rocker.
Remember that table scene where Clem is talking to Luke in episode 1 about Lee?
I can't remember the specifics as I played it such a long time ago now, but the ordering of the information Clem gave to Luke felt off. It was well written, but I just felt the ordering could have been rearranged.
You notice how I said my criticism in a nice manner and without any insults? I think a lot of people could learn from it.
Oh and about fan reaction . . . remember what I said about the majority. I have no evidence to back it up, however, when it comes to this game. Well, with the exception of the thread I mentioned earlier.
As an aside, if I was lucky enough to have a lot of fans and I'm not (luck, depending on the fans attracted, might not be the right word either), I would of course want to write stories they like. But I wouldn't let them dictate what I write. Sometimes what an artist wants for their story comes first, though they should always be prepared to suffer a financial hit if their work doesn't go over too well.
Anyhow, consider this my last post, at least for a while. It's 1:14am and I don't see any point in continuing the discussion if it's going to go round in circles without any headway made.

My criticism about season one is valid, but you did not get my point. I pointed out the flaws in season one because people act like season one was perfect and season two is the worst game of all time. I tried to show people that the flaws they pointed out have partly been in season one as well.
You should read my second update and concentrate on that.

I was just hoping for some people to say "You're right, there's an ridiculous amount of hate going around ATM." I'd love to discuss the fourth episode with you on a calm level, but I'm just sick of this crappy community.
because you don't get your own way,or want to shield Telltale from the barrage of negative comments, mostly deserved for episode 4,you call the best thing they have ever written??? this whole thread is laughable,im not trying to provoke you but ep4 is a nightmare, and like i said a few weeks ago i have never seen this much negativeness over an episode before,so maybe the fans know something the makers don't.
You're laughable. I don't want to shield telltale. It's haters like you I can't stand. Episode 4 IS NOT A NIGHTMARE. It's your childish attitude that makes me want to vomit.
im a hater? xD check out my rankings for each episode
i want to improve the game, why would i hate it?
See, this is part of the problem, Clemmy1.
If you read my post, then you agree with it but are too proud to admit that there's been some unnecessary hate?
Telltale's decisions are not problematic. You simply don't like them. You can't speak for the majority, i doubt the majority even is in this forum.
I'm not invalidating it. You're still not listening, and this is where things get problematic, because you're too full of yourself to see the fact that it still is just YOUR OPINION. I don't praise telltale. I DID point out flaws of season one and two. I'm sick of this hate shit.
This may be one of the most intelligent posts I read in a whole while.
I don't agree with your post. Everyone else on here has discussed already how they disagree as well so I don't need to repeat.
Season 1 doesn't have to be picked apart in order to recognize that Season 2 is weak.
i don't take games seriously but i still want to immerse myself in it when im playing it,there are just too many things to overlook though in ep4,i have never complained about any of the episodes apart from this because it is so bad,it's like it was written by a 10 yr old and that's a compliment!
although it's no indicator look at all the views that other thread has gotten, read the fans reactions, maybe it's the majority maybe it's not,but i think you'll agree something isn't quite right about it

I didn't say you took games seriously.

I hope that shows how daft sounding the comment was even though I'm sure you didn't mean it literally.
nah just trying to have a conversation
my point seems to be lost,i could of said written by a monkey, but im sure some monkey somewhere is reading this and going 'excuse me' ...xD , when a fan reaction is as strong as this, you will get emotional, passionate responses to something you like to play or love including negativeness and critisim you should know this being an artist?
Your point wasn't lost.
