You should play it. Even in 2014, the graphics are old, but the gameplay and level design is flawless. It's easily available on nearly every platform. I recently played the 3DS version and it's quite good.
Is this one of those examples of "this town ain't big enough for the two of us" mentality where just because Clementine and Ellie are both young girls surviving in a post apocalypse that you can't like both? Or...
But all he was saying is his opinion. Is that so bad, he did at least play the game through to criticize it. Personally, I love the game, but there will be haters and you can't stop that. Haters gonna hate, so respect the man's opinion would ya.
I have played the game excessively. I have completed the 1st (and might I add superior) season of The Walking Dead maybe 7 or 8 times and I love it but I stand by my opinion that Ellie is the better developed character.
Wow... ok then...
Ellie swearing "too much" seems like such a desperate mark against her character. Etiquette would RADICALLY change if t… morehe free world went to shit, especially if you never grew up during a time when politeness was a valued trait. Also, I highly doubt that having blood-thristy freak monsters and immoral gun toting psycho's constantly trying kill you wouldn't bode well for you too not curse.
If anything, her constant swearing makes her more relatable and realistic.
I actually prefer Clem to Ellie, but I think in a straight up fight, Ellie would probably win. She fights dirtier. Assuming they fought, which they probably wouldnt. Both of them don't really seem like the type who fight first before trying other options.
Joel would beat the tar out of Kenny though. He's just tougher.
Ellie swears too much and overzealous child profanity bugs the shit out of me.
Ellie is cool, but i care for Clem more. I think that's because we've been with her for almost 10 episodes and Ellie just one game and i think there's DLC as well.

No you didn't. This is the internet, where if you state an OPINION, not a RASH STATEMENT, an OPINION you get hate and scorn for it.
And a… morelthough I like Clementine better by a bit, I'll give you a like to help you feel better (not that you need need my sympathy, but you get it).
Son please we all know the outcome of a Goku vs superman fight, Goku would eat up superman's soul 24/7 everyday of the week 365 days a year (366 if leap year) 100 years a century.
Asking this question on a TWD forum? Obviously the majority of people here will say Clementine.
I personally like both characters, and I honestly can't decide who I like better. They're both strong female characters with their own respective stories and flaws, so it's not really fair to compare them. Initially I did like Ellie more, because I could relate to her more since she's closer to my age (and I did play TLOU before TWD, so that might've been a factor too), but after replaying season 1 and now playing season 2, I realized Clem reminds me more of myself personality-wise when I was younger, and controlling her throughout an entire game has allowed me to relate to her more. So I do relate to Clem a bit more than Ellie, but I love both characters equally.
I decided to ask cleverbot who was better, it said "Obama, because McCain is a conservative white male." so you heard it here folks, Obama beats Ellie and Clementine!

AND ANGRY JOE IS THE SPEAKER OF THE TRUTH AM I RIGHT
Wrong. This is why I don't like Angry Joe. Everything he says he deems as a fact and… more all of his fans eat that shit up. If you don't like TLOU something is wrong with you he claims, you're just an xbox fanboy (ironic considering his past with the xbox) when really there are a lot of reasons to dislike this game. It's another third person shooter! Like we haven't seen enough of those especially in the year 2013. The story is a generic mix between Walking Dead and Children of Men. The AI is straight up bad. Enemies lock up on you and Ellie bumps into enemies constantly. It's not unplayable godawful; but game of the year 10/10? fuck no.
Nathan Drake from Uncharted and Desmond from Assassins creed are both voiced by Nolan North,my favorite voice actor. Is it annoying to have him using the same voice for these characters?Nope,I love his voice, same for Troy Baker.
I've cried during playthrough of a lot of games. Last of Us was not one of them. It's incredibly generic. Ellie is generic. Joel is generic.… more For Christ sake the voice actor even reuses that voice for Bioshock Infinite's Booker Dewitt WHICH IS THE EXACT SAME CHARACTER.
THE LAST OF US IS THE BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Sits patiently waiting for dislikes)
-better gameplay
Here's my problem with that statement. 2013 was the year of shooters. 2012 was the year TWD came out and we saw a revival of several genres that we didn't see a lot of at the time. My point is I'd take a simple, fun point click game that at times makes me think with an interactive story over a linear shoot things in the face game with an uninteractive story. TLOU's gameplay had some good aspects like the compromise between holding two guns and having every gun you find with your backpack, but really a game that isn't a variation of coverbased shooting or running and gunning deserves a standing ovation these days. Also no, being a generic mix between two stories isn't a good thing. It's tired and cliched.
And stop bringing up Angry Joe. Have your own opinion for once.
"The story is a generic mix between Walking Dead and Children of Men"
Wouldn't that be a good thing?Angry joe read my mind when he said its like Telltale's TWD with better gameplay.
Except Troy Baker played the exact same character in two different games in the same year no less. A washed up fighter/soldier who's lost too much to give anything back to the world and is in charge protecting a young girl. At first the two don't like each other and then they grow closer. They even sound similar. Do you see the problem here? It's like two school students copied each others answers for a test while the teachers (the "professional" reviewers) neglect the problems or obvious flaws and just give it a nice shiny 10/10.

@Hunted holy shit you disagreed with him without disking him or writing a mean comment, there is still hope for this community, whe just need more people like you, oh and by the way, take my like on all your comments

You know what? I retract everything I ever said. Angry Joe is a god. His opinion is a fact and he doesn't lie. TLOU bezt gaem 10/10 citisen … morekean of gaems has blood and stuff iz liek unkarted with walkers
EDIT: I can't find your post, might be a glitch whatever so I'm writing it here. I'm not giving information about me to someone who can't handle different opinions.
Yes. Everyone has to like her. It's in a law. I think it might be in Obamacare even. If you don't like Ellie, you have to pay a $90 fee per year of not liking her.
It's hard to chose because
Clementine and Elli......
* both grew up in a zombie apocalypse
* Both don't have their parents anymore
*… more Both lost important people in their lives
* Both have had to kill people and zombies
* Both had to survive alone for a short time
* Both have bad memories
So it's kind of hard to pick between Clementine and Elli. But they are still both bad ass ahah!
Nah, I'm not going to choose, I love 'em both. Clem more so, because I've seen her grow from a scared, sweet little girl into a tough, resourceful older child. And I look forward to seeing her grow up further! But I do love Ellie too.
Instead of pitting them against each other, I'd rather see them team up to fight zombies!

I think about it
nah dud supahman would pwn goku anytiem
Nah. I just don't like Ellie thats it. I mean not everyone has to like her?
Ooooh are we doing reaction gifs now?! How original! Wait wait wait! Let me try!
Wasn't that funny? And original? Right? Get it? Because that gif summed up my reaction to-you know what. Never mind.

True Ellie
I don't remember her friend cursing that much in the DLC but I could be wrong, and they grew up in the same place with the same monsters and psychos.
How? Because my opinion isn't the same as yours it means I didn't play it?

It's just there's usually reasons to hate a character in a video game. But, whatever.
I like both. But i prefer Clementine.

I agree with you. And i think Kenny would get some good licks in, but i think Joel would win.
But Lee would woop Joel's ass. Well, maybe.
Haha thanks..

Maybe cause she acts like she's tough shit? (well she kinda is but you know my point)

Obama isn't able to have the honor to lick the walker guts off clementine's shoe
I didn't know Goku could eat souls.
Clem is the best!

Lee vs Joel? Ok that would be a MUCH closer fight. I still think Joel would win that fight too.... maybe.
Thank you, here, take my like whenever I see your comment, telltalemaster.
Those are pretty good points,i gotta admit.Im willing to bet it was only coincidences, though.

This discussion is invalid as it's on a Walking Dead forum. We all know who's going to be more popular.
I'm sorry that you had to die in Lee's story
Wait... what? I'm confused.
You signed up for LeeThePro's story, Y'know.... You we're one of Tobi's guards. You got killed when the "good guys" came to rescue some people.
Im guessing you're talking about me,so i'm going to reply like a pro.
K.
I never signed up for anything though... are you sure it was me?

Is it weird that when I see that picture, the 'Incredible Hulk' TV theme from the 1970s starts playing in my head?
