I'm usually a lurker but.......

Hello Telltale fans and/or not so big fans at the moment! I am currently new to the forums....but i have been what some people call a "lurker" on these forums for quite some time. I have been watching over the forums ever since I got my teeth sunk into this game. I've been around here since the time the first episode of season one came out and am very excited to be apart of this community(finally). I know a lot of people have made discussions over this but I am here to share my opinion anyways. A lot of people have been complaining about the lack of character development this season, and I totally agree! The way I think about the lack of character development is very simple. Although Clementine is a HUGE member of the current group, she is still a little girl. Remember it has been two years since the start of the apocalypse and a lot has happened, but before this people have lived around for 20 - 30+ years in a society where everything revolved around cushioning things for children. I actually teach little kids how to swim and yea sure I am myself around them but I am never my full self because I am currently a 17 year old boy who would probably get a complaint or two from some parents and potentially scare the kids if I was my full self honestly. Now since the apocalypse is still relatively fresh, this barrier still somewhat exists with certain people (Carlos in episode two is a great example, like when he says "She is just a little girl, Luke" when Luke suggests crossing the bridge with Clementine). To other people this barrier has vanished (Chuck, Lee, Luke,Kenny, and Jane are the first to my mind when it comes to treating Clem as a survivor and not a little girl). I like to look at this season this way and it makes sense after replaying the episodes a couple of times. Now sure there have been some sloppy parts, but this is a game (nuff said) and its also in an apocalypse where there are no such things as happy endings. Now I hope I'm right and telltale isn't flaking on us, because we know they love us. I mean we have supported them for quite a while! I will leave on this note, this world Clem lives in doesn't care if a person is in morning, characters just have to keep on keeping on if they expect to live. Like Chuck says In season 1 episode 3, "You have to consider her a living person, thats it. You're either living or you're not. You ain't little, you ain't a girl, you aint a boy, you ain't strong or smart, you're alive."
