Telltale wrote this post on Facebook recently (37 minutes ago as I'm writing this):

Not just soon, but VERY soon.
Could that mean we might get some news this week?
They usually gives us news about a week prior. So if we get news this week, we can hope for it to start being released on Aug. 19th

I remember the season 2 episode 1 trailer was saying "very soon" and the ep was realised next week, sooo next week probably screenshots?

Guys I think I figured out the length "very soon" means so the last time they used very soon was for the episode 1 trailer and the episode came 5 days after the trailer if I remember correctly, So using that key I predict we will get news in 4-6 days with in the facebook post of "news coming very soon"

It could come on the 26th if they have screenshots this week. It's always a three week process.

um sorry for bothring if some of you knew about this but this is only something to think about Season 1 will be on Next Gen consoles September 12 does that mean the finale will come before that ... and sorry if some of you knew that already and if this doesn't make sense too
And if they only show Clem by herself it would imply that everyone died, so it's going to be difficult for them to make a trailer. Unless they use previous footage with a voiceover, similar to the intro of Episode One's trailer.

Probably, but not necessarily. The release for Season 1 on Next-Gen has nothing to do with the release of Season 2.

I'll expect the finale episode to be released on August, 26th. The episode was already uploaded to Steam like a week ago.
