"We should all go back to the cabin. We're safe there."

These words said by Sarah in Episode 4 made me realize something.

What if the group developed a plan of defense at the cabin in Episode 2 after Carver met Clementine? Or what if Clementine somehow subdued Carver when he arrived at the cabin? Once Carver was dealt with, his followers would've dispersed and the group could live happily ever after. Although, Clem wouldn't have met Kenny later on.

  • I'm sure some of Carver's men would go out looking for him.

  • The cabin group couldn't stop a wounded, unarmed 11-year old girl from breaking into their house and stealing their stuff. How do you think they would fare trying to defend themselves against 4 healthy grown adults with assault rifles?

  • Even if they had a plan of defense at the cabin, Carver's people would probably choke the cabin group of supplies by making sure nothing gets in or out. Seeing Carver's arsenal, I doubt the cabin group would even want to stand against him and would rather run.

  • If they discovered what happened, I'm sure they wouldn't care to avenge Carver since they just followed orders and didn't care about his goals. Except maybe for Troy.

  • or if clementine took the gun from sarah maybe she could have bluffed carver to drop his gun then shot him

  • Carver's followers would turn on him after seeing how crazy he is that he would kill the group if they refused to go back with him.

  • When my dad comes back, we should all go back to the cabin. we're safe there.

    This line absolutely kills me...

  • Yeah, that too.

Carver's followers didn't turn on him after seeing him storm the ski lodge, torture Carlos in front of Sarah, kill Walter, potentially kill Alvin, and potentially hit Clem in the stomach with his gun and use her as a hostage/human shield. Even Bonnie was still on his side after that.

And having Carver's followers turn on him after he slaughters everybody in the cabin including Clem doesn't really help all that much. And that's assuming that he'll launch an all out war on them anyway rather than just surrounding them and forcing them out. They'd be sitting ducks.

Carver's followers would turn on him after seeing how crazy he is that he would kill the group if they refused to go back with him.

  • When she said that line... that's when I thought that Jane might be right... :'c

That was because Carver acted alone in his actions and everyone feared him. The ordering of a massacre where their own lives would be at stake by his request would awaken them.

  • The #1 mistake made was not saying anything after spotting the two flashlights at the bridge in episode 202.

The whole Kenny reunion made Clementine forget.

  • To me, jane was never right. Her assumption was invalid and I was so happy to prove to her wrong. But telltale.......... ugh telltale.....

She totally does tell them about the lights, though. They just didn't think that mean that Carver would be attacking them that night.

  • Sorry if I offended anyone, but Tell Tale spoke through Jane and told us that we didn't save Sarah, which, in the end, was true.

  • She says something, but I think the whole group didn't hear that over the confrontation with Kenny's group.

  • How would Clem subdue Carver? More of her super powers, I suppose

Let's go visit Maybelle again. I'm sure that horde of walkers that showed up has passed now

Maybe we'll even run into Chet, he has the record for being the longest living determinant character in the history of the game

Thinking about it I think he might actually be the only determinant character still alive...

  • if somebody points a gun at your back what would you do

How would Clem subdue Carver? More of her super powers, I suppose

  • Carver wouldn't allow that to happen. He was very cautious throughout the search and clearly armed.

  • well he turned his back on clementine 3 times if she took the gun from sarah she could have bluffed carver to leave or surrender

  • Even without staying in the cabin, when Clem realized they were being followed by someone in Episode 2 but Rebecca couldn't go any further, they should have immediately shut off the electricity at the ski lodge and started fortifying it for a potential attack that very instant. Imagine how much better things might have ended in Episode 2 if Carver's group had been forced to approach the group as they were alert, armed and hidden inside the lodge.

Yeah that was pretty dumb how nobody seemed to care about that huh? The group knew there was atleast one person searching around with a flashlight on the other side of the bridge yet for whatever reason decided to do absolutely nothing about that. They didn't even bother sending out somebody to investigate. Instead people are hanging up Christmas decorations and are casually getting ready for supper...just completely oblivious to anything that is going around.
