Why is there a lot of Luke hate lately?

Now i know the hate has died down a bit, and this thread may be a bit late, but what the hell.

I have recently noticed a crap-ton of Luke hate recently, just because he fucked Jane. Now, i know that's bad, i agree. However he has already apologized, isn't that enough? There have been characters who have fucked up even worse than Luke did and they are still fan favorites. So why can't you guys just give him a break, he did fuck up, yes. But he has also done some other good things too.

    I've forgiven Luke already. What he did was no worse than Omid and Christa getting it on when they should've stayed with Clem, or when Kenny got drunk at the worst possible time in Savannah. He actually acknowledged that he fucked up, which is so much more than I can say about some characters. Besides, Luke says that Jane was the one who offered sex in the first place, so I blame her way more. For all her talk about being smart and surviving, she was being astoundingly stupid there.

    Blame the writers. They've really been pushing us to choose between Kenny and Luke.

    And when people do pick a side they're going to focus on the bad stuff the other side has done,

    I'm personally in the neither group. Not sure if there's actually a Team Both. :P

    Same here. I dislike writers actively trying to force us into certain plot-lines, particularly when they're not nearly as interesting as the other dilemmas that could have been raised this Season.

    I'm mostly missing motivation. The writers never managed to convince me why I should pick either side.
    Especially when every other member of the group seems like a more sensible choice for Clem to warm up to.
    So far the Kenny Luke things seems like nothing more than a pissing match to me.
