Do forums ruin the experience?

Hi.I joined the forums a few days after amid the ruins was released.(It was so awesome that made me wanna discuss it at forums.)I enjoy the game because I expect nothing.(I mean I have no idea whats gonna happen.)But after being at the forums,I've heard so many rumors, suggestions which are great for ep5.Im worried because Im expecting too much and im afraid of being disappointed..What do you think?

  • Eh... I think it depends on the person really.

  • I think forums can ruin the experience and enlighten you a bit. I really enjoyed Amid the Ruins, and logged onto the forums seeing numerous threads of "THAT EPISODE WAS AWFUL WTF ARE YOU DOING TELLTALE."

Maybe you have an opinion on a character, say you like a character someone else doesn't like and you say "Oh, I like this character." and at least one person will reply "that characters dumb your opinion is so stupid ugh why do you even come here."

It's sad really, but it's worth it when you see a really good, well explained opinion you can agree with.

  • This forum has gotten very nitpicky over the last few months, its sad but its there choice. You can say "No one is making you go on the threads" But just reading some of the thread titles are negative by themselves. I believe in being positive, i was positive and LOVE Season 2.

  • I've enjoyed it immensely, despite it's flaws. Maybe I wouldn't have seen the flaws if the forum hadn't pointed it out for me... some of the people get very hateful over their characters... I'm sure you've seen the Sarah threads.

  • I enjoy the discussion regarding the episodes and characters on the forum. Hearing different perspectives and insights have allowed me to appreciate the complexity of them more.

  • She WAS a good character, that's the thing. She had a fairly decent character arc but people seem to be in denial as they wanted more. What I think is a sad part of this forum is that people try to put a disability label on her which isn't there (people fail to see if audio is unused, it's not canon... and if it's NOT said in game or by developers it's NOT canon) and if you disagree with them... that makes you an ableist scumbag! :P

I don't see what people want out of Telltale about this whole Sarah fiasco, an apology for killing off their own character? The treatment of their own character?

Many of us users have high hopes and like to speculate. You don't have to take our words for it, though. Telltale usually surprises everyone with completely unexpected things.
