Something I have to get off my chest
Now I don't exactly know what has transpired in the last 24 hours or so, but I will say this.
I have been a member of this forum for almost a year now and along the way I've met some great people who I've not only shared a laugh with, but also the tears that come with the great games that Telltale Games provide us with. These great people include the hard working mods.
So when I hear that one of the mods, who work hard and volunteer to look after the forum that we all share our thoughts in, was receiving so much abuse and hate because of some little change to the forum it sickens me.
It wasn't long ago that I found myself having to defend this certain mod from the same vile trolls that constantly roam this forum for the exact same childish name-calling and cyber-bullying. Because of this we have now lost not just a moderator, but a valued member of the community. All because of some unnecessary hate.
So to those certain people responsible for what occurred you should be ashamed of yourselves.
Please come back Jennifer, don't let the trolls beat you and know that we're all here for you even when it doesn't always seem like it.

Sooooo telling the loungers "Fuck you" is helping? Some of those loungers I consider my friends on here... They know what they did wrong. I've talked with almost all of them

She didn't that was the Telltale web crew. Moderators can suggest changes, but they don't make them. (To my understanding)
I feel the exact same way. Lets try not to be angry, there is enough venom in this forum to choke on at the moment.

I'm not sure, somebody really should elaborate; but there was something about merging a lot of the random threads in the Telltale Talk section into one megathread... From what I've heard it was something pretty minor but she got a lot of hate for it.
I mean, I don't like not having dislikes (I thought they were generally a good measure for troll threads), but I'm not going to swear anybody out for it.
I felt that was a bit strong and I've changed that.
My feelings above however are still the same.

I do believe this and many of the duplicate discussions should be closed. they are not helping us at all.
Oh, I guess I missed that one; but the comment still stands. It's a change I didn't like, but I don't care enough to yell and swear at the person who made it.

What is done, is done. I can't say that its going to be easy for the forum the lost of Jennifer, since she was a mod for years and seemed like a great person, but I can tell making threads and then telling people "Fuck You" is not gonna help.
Basically there was a select users who had their own private thread. Jennifer merged this thread, thinking she was helping, however the select users jumped on her causing a nuclear explosion to occur on the forums, now we are all dealing with the fallout.

They got mad at Jennifer because they lost their forum thread . I don't think it had anything to do with the downvotes, i think some people tried to imply it was her fault. I read the conversation a day late, so the thread was locked and edited, i did see what they said somewhat, and it wasn't good.

just because "They know what they did wrong" doesn't mean they should get forgiveness. Jennifer was one of the most sweet and caring people to have ever been on this forum, and those drooling morons drove her away, so fuck them

I think the mods should close every thread about it and if anyone mentions/argues should get banned. That way there won't be any further arguments. It's time to move on.
I'm not saying you need to forgive them right this second. Most of the lounge has apologized for their actions. I've talked with Jennifer. She says it depends on how things are going after a couple days to decide if she will stay. If she sees stuff like this I bet she will leave so stop with the hate

I don't visit the lounge very often, but I know those people are good people. And I also have a lot of old and new friends that didn't go there, so I'm kind of mid-term.
Labelling those from the lounge as "trolls" is completely wrong. Yes, what they did was wrong and shameful, but they AREN'T trolls. They are members of this community, just like all of us. I wasn't there at the moment everything happened, so I don't know what they said exactly, but hating on them or ANYONE isn't good, and it isn't going to help in anything. If one day Jennifer comes back, we should all apologize to her. Not only for the bad things people said to her, but for everything happening right now. All this unecessary hate going all over the forum.
I hope this isn't interpreted in a wrong way. I love this community and all the members who come over here, even if they act in a wrong way sometimes.
I was only aware of what happened a few hours ago Tobi, so I had to get this off my chest.
Like I said, I saw this exact kind of behavior a few months back, so I hope you can understand my frustration.

Honestly? I'd probably agree with you if I hadn't seen the FOTDL's side first. Yes they did go overboard, way overboard, but you'd have to see what they built in that forum to see why they acted that way. They built a community, and anyone was welcome to join at any moment that they wanted, it wasn't a private thread that only they occupied, it was a thread for everyone. I don't know the full story but I do remember that some of them thought the entire thread, and all of the memories inside of it, had been deleted, memories of laughter and good times, memories of confessions and building trust, memories of just being able to talk about something that they normally couldn't talk about, and when that seemed to have been taking away, they couldn't help but feel angry and they used a scapegoat to take out their anger.
What they did was wrong, but the people going to them and telling them that they hate them, without getting the full story, is going overboard as well.
Well I hope this damn thing gets settled soon. Everything was just fine until this all happened. I was starting to feel better and BAM! After I release my comic this week I'm leaving for a week or two till everyone chills out and act rational.
I'll admit what happened to Jennifer was uncalled but attacking the one's responsible and giving death threats is no better and only making things worse. I'm talking to them and they get it. They're trying to apologize to Jen.

Hasn't there been enough hate? Yes, I'll admit I was a part of the people who said pretty mean things to Jennifer, and I feel really bad about it and I have apologized to her and to Blind Sniper.
