Transition to Clem as PC
I think Clementine will not die because Season 1 transitioned to Clementine becoming the protagonist perfectly. You spend the entire season developing Clementine through the choosing you make as Lew, and as soon as Lee cannot continue moving and falls down in the jewelry store, you are basically controlling Clementine through Lee. When Lee dies, you takeover as Clem. So if Clem dies, who continues the story? She won't die but will go through something terrible like Season 1 which will really show us who she is and set it up for Season 3.

There is no way that clementine dies...and if she does whats gonna happen in season 3? Completely new protagonist and story?
Or they could keep Clem alive but Season 3 will have a different protagonist but Clem will make a few appearances.

They do that with every new Crossed Badlands story arc and it has worked well so far.
