Jane and Luke`s alone time ....

We all know Jane and Luke had sex disregarding the group's safety but that's not why I made this thread , I made this thread because while Jane and Clementine were alone , Jane told Clementine that she didn't owe the group anything , worry about yourself , there going too get you killed , these people are all gonna die , don't let them bring you down with them ... she said something like that too Clementine .... I'm wondering what she may of said too Luke while they were alone , could she of tried too tell Luke the same thing , will he listen too her ? Can we trust him or not ? I like Luke a lot and I like his character but there's just something about him that makes me think he's going too eventually let us down I'm some way .... I could be wrong ,, it Just a hunch ... whatta you guys think , will he come thru for us or ..........

  • damn it I was hoping for this to be something else..

it's like a 50/50 chance, we have no idea what she told him, but more if he believed it or not.

He followed the group to rescue them while they were being taken to Carver's camp without eating or sleeping for (I think) three days. Now that takes some dedication.

  • What were you hoping for this too be ?? I'm curious

I think Luke will always try to do what's best. He may screw up along the way, but then, who hasn't in the Walking Dead?

The way he seems to really like Jane and she seems dismissive of him makes me think she might have used him. But I'm not sure, and it doesn't justify his mistake.

So yeah, I strongly believe Luke will always try to 'come thru for us' :)

  • I'm not saying Luke is a horrible person I'm just saying if Jane said those types of things too Clem I really think there's a good chance Jane said similar things too Luke ... and if you ask me I think he's kind of vulnerable too Jane because we all know he has a thing for her .... You never know , being this close too Wellington and everything happening ... people do change ... I mean look at us , we went from trying too save everybody at all costs too leaving people too die , and even before it happens we're talking about saving Kenny or Luke , picking between too people

  • stuff for science

  • I think he will do hi best too , idk , I just feel some type of way about him , like he's too good too be true

Just a stray thought: now that Luke is the only one of the cabin group left, he doesn't really have any loyalties left. Sure he knows Clem, but only for about a week and a half I'm guessing. The only real person I think he might owe loyalty to is Rebecca's baby because he's known her longer, although a baby would be a huge burden on his and the others survival...

This isn't really leading anywhere, just something to think about and add to the debate.

  • How many times must I say this...they didn't have sex! It was just a little harmless foot action.

  • Perhaps he holds a degree of loyalty towards Bonnie since they knew each other quite well at Carver's camp. Bonnie seemed quite surprised that Luke hadn't mentioned her to Clem when they were talking in 2x03, so they must have been close before Luke and the Cabin group escaped.

  • Very true about Bonnie, in all honesty, I'd forgotten about that. But I think he held more loyalties towards the cabin group, though yes that is a very good point. I don't understand his beef with Mike though; he seems like a pretty cool guy.

  • I'm saying he will always do his best to be a good person and to help the group.

Luke WAS just talking to Clementine about 'wanting to survive' before he went to see Jane... but I don't think that would be a very good way for her to start her seduction.

Off topic, but I always imagine Jane telling him "Luke, we need you up top!" like she did in the trailer.

  • he was expecting some "anime"

  • Not trying to be ass here but can you guys stop making threads on basically the same thing as a million other threads. Just comment on those no need to make a thread for it. Oh and...

  • Where is there a thread discussing the possibility of Jane corrupting Luke?

  • Be ironic if she did say the same thing to Luke considering now he might be dead for following the group into the town and disregarding her advice.

Wow I never considered Jane might have asked Luke to leave with her, or at least given him the same advice that he could survive without the others. She was more worried about Clem than Luke though, as Clem is a little girl and Luke as a grown man is more likely able to take care of himself if he needs to. I don't think she would've encouraged Luke to leave Clem. She may have predicted that the group might split at some point, but she doesn't want to be right about that. It's just the hard truth she knew Clem had to hear, and from the latest tweets we've seen, it looks like she might be right about going off on her own being an option.

Jane knew Luke was hurting and was on the verge of falling apart too, as she said he was part of the group that would break. It was very cruel of her to just leave him. But Jane was assuming that Clem could potentially abandon Luke, not the other way around; she really liked Clem bc Clem reminded Jane of her sister.

I honestly think Jane had an honest heart-to-heart with Luke before they banged, as Jane was shown to be on the verge of tears right before. Luke and Jane are similar bc: 1) they both tried to save someone and both failed [Sarah and Jaime] 2) they look out for Clem almost like a younger sister 3) they don't want to burden Clem with their own emotional baggage and bottle their emotions. Therefore I think they could've really emotionally connected.

Also, I get the impression that Jane had to really work to get herself to leave Clem's group, just from how it seemed like she could've been speaking to herself when she was speaking with Clem at the end "You don't owe them anything. They'll make you feel like you do. Like it's all one happy family. But when push comes to shove...." It really sounds to me like she's speaking from experience. (I just thought of this, but what if Jane and Jaime were a part of a group at first, and the rest of the group abandoned the two, or wronged them somehow?!?) I really think at the end of Amid the Ruins Jane was fighting herself and didn't want to leave, but her instinct drove her to go before something worse happened. What do you guys think?

  • Yeah, especially considering the distance he walked. People have posted maps of it, and holy fuck. He basically travelled the distance of a state by foot.

  • Yes while Jane was orgasming she was explaining why she should leave. Jk jk but maybe that's why he said him and Jane were going to scavenge when in reality they were going to leave the group. And maybe also why Luke was so pissed that she didn't tell Luke when she left.

  • I'd never allow my Jane to have sex with Luke. End of story.

  • Ain't nothin wrong with a little bump 'n' grind ;)

  • Maybe, there was some possible foreshadowing of Luke losing his morality, he said "He (Carver) was a bad man, no doubt about that, I'm just hoping we don't become like him."

  • Sorry for the late reply, but I was joking :P

  • I don't believe she said that to Luke. It's pretty obvious Luke will always put the group before his own health. I also don't think he would have been as receptive to sex if she'd gone into that serious discussion.
