How will season 3 play out?

After Telltale released the season 3 to be coming out, I was siked, but after seeing the ending how will it play out? with five endings?
Will the story take place with a hole new character? 'Im guessing Mike maybe.' Or will it have 5 different storys in season 3? Post your ideas

  • I hope Telltale do a two year time-skip to tie up loose ends and we continue on as Clementine. I'd like it if Season 3 had five seperate introductions/beginnings but that seems a little too much to ask.

  • Yea. your right, but remember, Telltale always surprises.

  • Personally, I think that it's going to be a new protagonist. There are just too many endings imo for TellTale to make it work out if we're playing as Clem again.

  • After seeing through the eyes of lee and clem, seeing what they've gone through, I dont think Telltales just gonna give them up, they will be back...

    I hope.

Do not wanna play as Mike.
The guy was an traitorous son-of-a-bitch!
And he did it, all for the sake of a little pissant-kid who was going to rob them, and kill them if necessary.
Which the kid proved when he shot Clementine!

And as far as Bonnie, since she threw in with that shitbird Mike, I don't hold her in high regard either.
Even though she was sorry, about what happened to Clementine, sorry doesn't work.
    Not for me!

I'd rather play as a new character, who either runs into Kenny and Clementine, after they leave Wellington together, or just Kenny.
Have guy be around Kenny's age: 40-45 years old.
    6'4ft tall.
    Muscular.
Deep-resonating voice, with a southern accent.
    Blue eyes.
    Long brown hair, shoulder length.
Brown/grayish beard, that reaches down to his collar bone, giving a Mountain-man look.

And who's armed with a sniper rifle, a revolver, and a hatchet.

    Dressed in Blue-jeans.
    Hiking boots.
    A brown leather coat.
And a blue flannel shirt underneath.

Some set qualities being: Down-to-earth, calm, intelligent, resourceful, caring and optimistic/ who later on may become more pragmatic and cruel as the season unfolds, depending on the players choices.

And his backstory: A famous country singer/musician from Texas.
Who had millions of dollars, enjoyed partying, the company of friends, and lived the good life.
And who had millions of adoring fans.
Who the apocalypse has turned into just another survivor, who's trying to get from one day to the next.
With a wife who's an ex-model, and two boys to take care of, one a teenager, the other under 10 yrs old.

And we are introduced to his backstory, by a dream sequence of him attending an award show.
Dressed in a tuxedo, and having a short haircut and bushy goatee.
Later awakened by a blizzard that is rolling though, and one of the first goals in the game, is to get your family into shelter.
Taking place before the nine day skip in season 2/episode 5.

  • Eddie? i mean i don't mind playing as Clem or New character

  • Altho Kenny isnt alive in all the endings, they might have to do it with 3, u by yourself and AJ, with Jane, or with Kenny.

  • Fingers crossed for Clem!

  • How do you figure?
    I only counted 5.

When your with Kenny,1. you can go to wellington 2. or leave with kenny, When your with Jane, 3. you let the survivors in 4. or make them leave, Or, 5. you can let Kenny kill Jane and shoot him in the face, 6. kill Kenny and abandon Jane

  • Knowing Telltale, the 5 different endings will all end up in the same place (Clem wandering around with the baby) about 5-10 minutes after Ep 1 starts.

    1. Clem goes off with Kenny. Kenny got seriously messed up in the fight with Jane. Sad Kenny dying scene. Clem alone with baby.
    2. Clem and baby stay and Kenny leaves. Town is a Carver situation. Clem escapes with baby.
    3. Jane and Clem let the family stay. Family betrays them, kills Jane, Clem alone with baby.
    4. Jane and Clem kick the family out. Family comes back, kills Jane, Clem alone with baby.
    5. Clem and baby already alone.
  • It would kinda be a waste if they just forget about Clem but I really doubt it. All the endings have something in common, the baby survives. So it's probably going to form around Clem and the baby. If you think about it it's not that hard to tie everything together at one point. Clem and Jane go back to the camp a "family" led by a suspicious man that could go wrong anytime, Clem the baby and Jane will have to leave the camp and so the story follows, same goes with Kenny you leave with him then the season 3 will start with the three of them trying to survive and all that, Clem stays at Wellinghton something goes wrong and in the end Clem will have to leave with the baby, Clem goes alone same story. It will take some effort that's true but we need to see where Clem's story goes with the baby. But as I said it's not THAT hard to actually find a way to tie these endings at one point and then follow up with the new story. Let's hope Telltale won't let us down but I really doubt it, TWD s1/2 TWAU were brilliant so whatever they do I trust them.

  • The last two endings you listed are the same endings. Clementine is with AJ about to go into the herd of zombies. It's just a different way to get the ending, but it's the same.

  • 1st one doesn't make sense cause he survived that cut, there was a 9 day time skip remember? Clementine could be with Kenny and the baby and then they run into Mike, Arvo, and Bonnie (if she's alive) and they fight, everybody dies except for Clem and the baby.

In S3, TTG reinvents the series into an action extravaganza, using the same engine and concepts as GTA:V...

We will play as Nate and drive around killing people and stealing their stuff...

  • Yeah, and I guess if Clem can survive that gunshot that Kenny could survive the cut and eye gouging. Regardless somehow Kenny will die/be separated from Clem and the baby and Clem will end up in the same place and situation.

  • I feel like Clem story is over. In every ending.

  • I think we see a significant time jump where Clem is in her 20s and AJ is in his teens. Clem is the head of a community and S3 will revolve around making the right choices for the community's survival. Clem will die in the end of S3 and AJ will be the playable character for S4.

I'm very intrigued by Telltale deciding to have multiple endings to season two. The optimist in me can't help but have high hopes for season 3 in terms of how our choice at the end of season 2 will impact the beginning (and hopefully more) of season 3. But time will tell.

I certainly both hope and expect to keep playing as Clementine in season 3 though.

  • I'm not sure about a new protagonist but I think Clem might become a loner because all the characters will be determinant (expect Clementine and AJ) depending on your ending and what Jane told Clementine. We know how TellTale treats determinate characters (R.I.P).

  • TTG can do max- 2 year time skip because game just can't go further than comics already are... (till now)

  • Season 3- random, new protagonist= 40-50% less buyers!
Think about it- why the fuk TV series can get 5 motherfuckng seasons with one main character, which is SHIT comparing with Clems story...
And remember- The Walking Dead game IS Clementine so if they bring new protagonist, they should call this game different- like "The Running Dead" :)

  • Well maybe the series will have a time skip of a few years and we'll play as an older A.J in clementine's group.

  • I've seen others mention this. Is this pure speculation that Kirkman wouldn't allow it or has it been confirmed?
