WD S2 Ep5 - Can't access saves

New episode came out on Steam, downloaded fine. I went to start the game and it only said I had completed the first episode. I went to change save profile and I kept getting this screen.

I can't go back or anything. It just stays on this screen with those images non the far right for at least fifteen minutes. The background continues to animate, and the music continues. But the only way to leave this screen is to shut down the entire game from either task manager or ALT F4.

I loaded the game back up and clicked on the Choices option which only brought up this

I'm certain there were much more choices from Ep 4, not to mention there is no way to select any other episode. Help from anyone (Preferably Telltale. I like your games, but it's your games I always tend to have technical issues with. Although at least this is the first real game breaking issue I've had.) who has a solution or at least a reason as to why this is happening would be much appreciated.

Sorry, mate. Completely ignore my first reply. I was so excited to get a reply I ended up posting that from the computer that I don't play the game on. Here's the correct one.

I apologize for the inconvenience. After looking over your support tool information, there doesn't seem to be an issue with your file structure. We have received a small amount of reports from players experiencing a similar issue. We are currently looking into the issue, and hope to have a resolution in the near future. In order to be able to play right now, I recommend deleting one of the save slots from your game's file directory, and see if you are then able to access your saves successfully. To do this, please go to the following file directory:

    C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead Season Two\

Then delete all of the files associated with a save slot. (The files with saveslot2, saveslot3, or saveslot4 in the name) Then restart the game, and see if you are able to access your saves in your other save slots in-game.

  • Have the same exact issue on PS3. I will dive in and see if I can clear a save.

I apologize for the inconvenience. We have had a few reports from players experiencing this issue, and are currently looking further into the root cause of the issue. We hope to have a resolution in the near future. Unfortunately at this time, the only workaround is to delete the Save Data Utility for the game from the Save Data Utility menu on your PS3's XMB, and start a new game in Season Two. Again, my apologies for any difficulties this may cause you, as we look further into the issue.
