When you think of Kenny, who and what do you see?

edited August 2014 in The Walking Dead

Do you see the guy in season 1 with the biker mustache?
Or do you see the bearded warrior from season 2?

Personally, I identify Kenny more so with the beard, rather than the mustache.
And I actually think he looks better with a beard, than just a mustache.

And also, after everything Kenny went through, even though he was more hardened in season 2, more violent and angrier, the core of who he and what he is has remained intact.
Kenny proved that when he pleaded for Clementine and the baby to be allowed sanctuary in Wellington, even if that meant that he might never see them again.
( I in my game, kept them together).

Plus, Kenny racing Clementine to the top of the hill, giggling like a little kid as he went, showed that still had a joyful side to him.
That even after everything that happened, he was still able to find joy and happiness with the people he cared for.
Kenny was truly a good man, in spite of his imperfections, and all the mistakes he made.
This who I see, when I think of Kenny.

Who and what do you see?

A friend who has lost so much and has journeyed down a dark path with light still shining upon him.

  • Well said! Kenny always has been a good guy. He's just made mistakes (as Clem told Jane) after all he's human. And this world relies on making split second decisions, which aren't always the right ones in the long run. But right at the time. Because if you hesitate in this world. You die!
I didn't see him harder this season, so much as sadder...
He had everything. And he lost it, in the most horrific way possible. Then he managed to find love again...as second chance. And he'll be dammed if he's going to lose it again.
But he does. So Clem becomes his world, and then AJ. And he's looking out for them to the point I believe he would give his life for theirs. In fact I think that's what happens if you chose to go to Wellington without him. I bet he walks over that rise and eats a bullet.
He's a good man. Always has been. Always will be...He's just taken some hits, and he's in a dark place. But that doesn't change who he is. Watching him run giggling up the hill was brilliant :-) love him.
If the ZA happens. I want a Kenny in my corner!

  • I just see the beard and hear the voice.

  • The closest friend I have, who'll do anything and everything for Clem.

  • I see him and Clem leaving Wellington together. A man who redeemed himself, and is coming back from the dark place he was in, a man who my Clementine will stick with until the bitter end.

  • A man with good intentions, but with little brains to think things though.

I see a man that lost pretty much everything, but at the same time I see a good man that would anything to protect the people he loves.

  • A hot headed & short tempered man, very fragile and mostly unreasonable,no wonder people always talking behind his back all the time.

  • I see a friend and a guardian figure who has lost a lot and has been affected by the bitter harsh world he lives in. He may be more angry and aggressive now, but there are reasons for it. He is still a good person deep down inside and I left with him too because I also didn't know wether or not I'd see him again. He is messed up but he's a good person despite everything.

This is what comes up when I think of him now, my Clem stayed at Wellington :

    Alt text

In the end, Kenny stuck by his words. He made the ultimate tough choice. And he saw through to what Lee wanted but could not do in the end, which was to find a safe place for Clementine [and now AJ].

If he died after we parted ways, I know that he finally found peace and died a happy man.

  • I see my dad in him. Their personalities match a lot.

    I can kinda relate.
My Dad, for the most part, was a pretty patient man, but he did have quite a temper to.
That final scene, of Clementine and Kenny at Wellington, reminded me so much of my dad.
If I was a little kid, in that situation, my dad would've pleaded for me the same way.
Which was probably another reason I had Clementine stay with Kenny.

I see my dad in him. Their personalities match a lot.

  • A volcano made of ice ready to erupt who means well.

  • You do realise that youre so opinionated,on this people see you the exact same way you see Kenny?

  • A genuinely good man who's capable of doing and saying horrible things.
