What was Luke sorry about Bonnie?

In episode 5 of season 2, When Bonnie went on to take some bandages Luke says, "Hey Bonnie, I'm sorry." Bonnie replies, "For what?" pauses then walks away. What was Luke sorry about? Was it about the bad things that happened to them after they left Howe's? or about him having an affair with Jane? Does Bonnie have feelings for Luke?

  • Bonnie said she liked luke when they were drinking around the fire. So i think he said sorry to her, for having sex with Jane, he probably knew she liked him.

  • This is a good question.

Does Bonnie have feelings for Luke?

She does, we know this much. During the campfire scene, Mike jokes that the reason why Jane rejoined the group was because of Luke, and Bonnie says something like "that was my reason" and then excuses herself as having had too much to drink or whatever.

So maybe Luke apologizing does have something to do with Bonnie being into him?

What I more didn't understand in that scene was why Luke got all pissy with you if you told Bonnie that he was feeling bad. I mean, outside of him apparently having told you he was upset in a private (although he never explicitly says that it's in confidence), why wouldn't he want Bonnie knowing that he was low?

Luke has been shown to be someone who internalizes a lot of his guilt and grief. He's seen as a leader within his group and he doesn't want to seem too weak or vulnerable around them. He trusted Clementine with this information, of how guilty he actually was for not being able to save his friends, and felt betrayed that she would so easily tell Bonnie about it.

It's kind of like telling someone a secret and seeing them run off to tell another person. Even if they had good intentions and it wasn't something that was a big deal to them, it still makes you upset since it means something more to you.

  • He was sorry that he rejected the brightly coloured rainbow jacket Bobby found in his size. Would have come in handy for all that cold ice water...

  • Thanks for the explanation, this makes sense.

  • Yeah, it's actually plausible :)
