I think Telltale did a good job of not going the expected route.
I mean, Bonnie didn't die in the first few minutes, there was no Kenny and Luke showdown and Mike turned out to be a piece of crap. Plus, I thought that Clementine would end up all alone with AJ and that would be it.

Well, Bonnie can die, Clem can end up alone with AJ and Mike isnt a piece of crap, really.
I don't care if it was predictable, I'm still madly upset that Luke was killed off and not a part of the "pizza vs ice cream" choice.
My favorite character just gone and all that Kenny vs Luke buildup since episode two just totally thrown out.
And the fact that not a single group member died in the shootout was total bullshit. It's as if there was a big plot bubble protecting them. They were SURROUNDED, plus, THE RUSSIANS FIRED THE FIRST FUCKING SHOT. You're telling me all the russians missed and everyone in our group was able to bail to cover that was several feet away before anyone was killed?
Right, he's a piece of shit.
Totally agree with you. I also liked how none of the endings can be called a good/bad one, they're all open to interpretation:
1) Clem alone with the baby: it's gonna be hard to survive, but Clem looks totally ready for that, she isn't scared and uses the skills she learned from her past to survive.
2)Clem, Kenny and baby outside Wellington: they are together, have some food and medicines, but no place to go. They could survive for a few months and come back to Wellington, this time being accepted there; or something bad could happen, Kenny could die (infection, zombies, cold etc) and Clem could be left alone with the baby.
3) Clem and the baby at Wellington: they could be safe, or be not. We don't know anything about the people inside Wellington, they could all be nice like the gate lady, or they could be pissed off for having to feed and take care of 2 children, who could then be abused/hated in many ways.
4)Jane and Clem with the baby: safe place, they can grow veggies, but it will be hard to keep zombies and other people away forever. As cool and badass as Clem and Jane can be, they couldn't survive the attack of a large group of armed bad survivors.
5) Jane, Clem, baby, family (my ending, and I love it): they can fix the building and start a new group of survivors who help each other, or something could go wrong and end in a fight for the place.
There's nothing sure in this world (zombieland lol) anymore, you can just pick up your choice and hope that's the right one. I loved this, and I think this was the best way to end season 2.
Yeah I didn't like the shootout thing either.
I also was kind of disappointed the way Mike turned out because he was pretty much the nicest guy throughout episodes 4+5.
I just thought it was definitly not sth. Mike would do.
But otherwise I liked the way they ended the game. I expected most of them to die in the shootout, with Kenny and Luke surviving and you later on have to choose between them - which would've been the easiest solution but I'm glad they didnt choose this route.
Lukes death seemed a bit rushed and there was nearly no emotion involved but I think it showed what the zombie apocalypse would be like. People die everyday and you can't stop and build a monument for everyone.
