I personally think they do have something in common in their appearance:
But what's more interesting, look at both Mary and Rachel. There is definitely a resemblance between them. And there is also a possibility that Rachel might have been a real person once, and we still don't know what really made Aunty Greenleaf glamour herself as no one else but Rachel. Maybe she actually was her daughter who went missing or was believed to be dead? And like Yami_Wolf said, being a witch's daughter might explain Mary's magic immunity as well.
If my theory is correct, that actually increases the chances of her returning in Season 2 with more details about her past.

Eh I doubt it, but the visuals are very similar.
I'm 99% sure Greenleaf's daughter was killed back in the Homelands, but you found pretty interesting resemblance.
Honestly when Mary (before she introduced herself) came out of the car in A crooked mile I thought it was he daughter but I:
