I love Silent Hill. Sure there have been a few disappointments (Downpour, Origins) but overall, a great franchise. 2 and 3 would have to be the best.

I've never played a silent hill game I want to get silent hill 2 but I can't find it here in Australia so I'll have to use amazon to get it. But since it's by Konami I'm sure it'll be good

I bought it on PS2, recently to add to my collection and was disappointed to be honest. I wasn't in to the whole run away from enemies in this game. Its a decent game, but i think downpour is vastly better in comparison. The creators of Downpour imo created something that just wasn't possible on such a old piece of technology.
If they decide to release it again on either PC or PS4, i bet it won't have any frame issues.

I don't think Origins is a disappointment. But everyone has their own opinions.
I think "Leave" is the canon one but I would choose "In Water" any day to take the place of canon. It's an amazing ending.
I personally liked Downpour. Origins however, I stopped playing half way through because of boredom XD

SH2. "Promise" is timeless.
SH2 and SH1. Especially Silent Hill and Theme Of Laura.

Downpour is worse than SM. SM is an amazing re-imagination.
It was okay I guess MUCH better than those horrible Resident Evil movies.

I liked Silent Hill 3 substantially more than 2. It felt scarier.
Stay away from Downpour. Its pure garbage. Better off pretending it doesn't exist.
