I agree, I don't think it's bad and I had fun playing it. I just think that the enemy design isn't as symbolic as it used to be in previous titles, and the horror lacks a ton.

If you're referring to the Mannequin scene, he was "punishing" them. PH existed mainly to make James repent for his sins. He is raping the Lying Figure during your first boss encounter with him, though. The sexual themes are definitely there (see the Fukuro video), but I don't have a problem with them. PH's design is extremely creative, whereas I can't say the same about the Boogyman.

Nah i do agree with you he wasn't even as cool as the butcher. He was better than the normal enemies, but that isn't saying much. I liked the story though it was sad.

downpour isn't bad, it has technical problems but overall it is still a good game.

There are 6 endings. If we count ending from additional content, in which we play Maria, there are 7.

No. For me, he came off as very sloppily done, just like the other monsters. But I won't hold it against you if you like him.
