I don't think this is about the forum you post in, but the thread. Most people that commented on the random chat thread or the FOTD got that pm. I only have about 315 comments, but I got it too.
Rules say you're not allowed to talk about banned users as they are unable to join conversation and it would be talking behind their backs. If I talk about it I may get banned.

That might just be what happened here, I barely ever even look at either of those threads, let alone comment on them.
The real question is, why would someone bother sending a pm to anyone that posted something in those threads? Why not send it to everyone if all they are trying to do is just spam people? (assuming that no one else got that pm too)
