Any Football fans?
Talking about American football here. I'm not sure if this deserves it's own thread or not, but I'm curious if there any other fans around here. The regular season is officially completely underway tomorrow, and I'm kind of pumped. Favorite teams? Opinions?

Well, a packers fan and.....you know how that turned out.
Ha, no shame in that loss at all really. Its tough playing in Seattle, and obviously the Seahawks are just ridiculous right now.
Do you live in Wisconsin then? I do, but happen to be a Cowboys fan.
I was born in Wisconsin but moved a long time ago, still cheer for them tho' .
Been a Pats fan for quite some time. I always get shit for saying that so allow me to explain. I really liked the majority of their defense, Mike Vrabel, Tedy Bruschi, Junior Seau, Asante Samuel, Richard Seymour, etc, you get the idea. I had also never watched the NFL before, and some of the first games I watched with my cousin were Pats games, and then we started playing Madden together as the Pats. So with all that combined, I became a Pats fan. The first Pats game I watched had Drew Bledsoe at QB.
Edit: As a side note, I don't live in New England, but I've been there four times.
Go Pats!
I was born in NE and my father is a big Pats fan. Must be nice to be in the playoffs every year
Sometimes I'd rather just have a losing season and know it's over than get to a big game and be so disappointed.
Edit: I'm from Jersey, so there are a ton of Giants fans here, mostly just the people that hop on the bandwagon after the Eagles choke, but still. It gets annoying.
Pats are cool...
I'm a football fan both college and NFL.
My favorite NFL teams are the Falcons and Jaguars(yes I'm ashamed of the jags xD.)
Only teams I hate are the cowboys and patriots(no offence if you're a fan, but i personally can't stand them.
My favorite college teams are Florida Gators and Notre Dame.
NOOOO MY PATS!!! (Do You Like Saltlicks at least?)
What is your opinion of the packers?
I don't like the Cowboys either. My least favorites are the Cowboys, Jets, and Giants.
Well at least you don't like the Giants. Do you live near NY or something? Only wondering considering your dislike of its two most popular teams..
I live in Jersey, closer to Philly than NY.
They are fine a pretty good team. Though I did get sick of Aaron Rodgers discount double check commercials. XD
lol
The regular season actually started on Thursday, with the Packers and the Seahawks. Though most teams start Sunday.
I like pro football but usually look for good games over favorite teams. A lot of unpredictable things can happen in this sport, which is what makes it interesting to me.
What are your favorite teams? Packers...are mine...
As I said, I value games over picking favorite teams. Sorry about the Packers losing Thursday, though. They have some of the funnest traditions of any team, including the Lambeau Leap, and trying to keep that field playable when the Wisconsin winter strikes!
The closest team to me geographically is the St. Louis Rams. They just lost their main quarterback for the second season in a row, after he got injured in the preseason. That may make things interesting, a la Kurt Warner, or other teams may just run them over. We'll see.
Good thing I don't place bets!
lol
Looking forward to SNF then? I'm kind of thinking its going to be a good one.
SNF has kind of burned me out on Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, as SNF seems to worship them so much. However, I can't ever say it's boring when Peyton Manning plays against his old team, so we'll see.
Being a Cowboys fan I don't have much to be excited about. Romo played like garbage, the defense is sucks, Jason Garrett can't coach, and Jerry Jones needs to fire himself as GM. What makes it worse is, like @Eddie_Maiden I live around nothing but Giants and Eagles fans. Ugh...
Yeah Romo played hilariously bad for some reason. I think he'll step up his game though. If he would have played like his normal self I actually think the Cowboys would have won that game.
Atleast my team the Falcons won Sunday
I haven't followed Football that much, but my favorite team is the Steelers (my mom's side of the family lives in Pittsburgh). I live deep in Eagles country though. I've always had a soft spot for the Bills, they're kind of screwed in their division, though.
College wise, I'm obliged to root for Penn State.
My Dolphins put a hurting on Brady and his Patriots.
Usually happens once a year.
I think the Dolphins are the team that usually gives the Pats a rougher time out of the whole AFC East.
People make the case that it's playing down here in Florida. Could be.
Vast temperature and humidity difference, I tend to agree.
Fair enough.
I still think Miami straight up outplays them on most occasions, but, the weather can certainly be a factor.
And it could also be applied to the Dolphins when they play in New England.
Miami definitely plays good on many occasions. And it definitely does apply to the Dolphins when in New England. Cycling between such different climates in such a short period of time is a big jump.
I'm hoping we can make the playoffs this year. We definitely have the pieces, but, have they developed enough?
I'm thinking it's tough as hell. Going from 80 degrees to 20 and viceversa is no joke. I remember a game last season at Pittsburgh where it was snowing and our players could barely move. Surprisingly enough, we got the W.
San Francisco 49ers fan here!
Vikings fan here. I live in Cleveland, so it's kind of weird. Minnesota's defense looked great on Sunday, hoping for great things this season.
Well i hate the Browns, growing up in a Browns household was hard. I saw them lose every Sunday, and now that i'm older i watch them to lose. The punter got kicked in the face, I want to see Johnny football get sacked so hard he gets a reality check. Even though the whole Ray rice thing kinda put a damper on my TV watching, because i'm not really a true fan, but i enjoy it sometimes. However its hard to watch the games, without hearing people criticize you for watching it.
Anyone watch the annihilation of the Bucs, 56-14? They looked like they didn't belong on the field with the Falcons.
That was just terrible. I actually kind of felt bad... lol
I was watching it with my friend who's a Bucs fan (lol). The room was silent at halftime...
Did he/she manage to watch the entire game?
