How Are YOU Feeling About The Sims 4?

Hey guys, i was just wondering how you were all feeling about the Sims 4.. im a huge Sims fan and still really enjoy it if you didnt know it has gotten lots of negative reviews. (though dont think it is as good as Sims 3's launch i believe it is still a solid game). Another question, have you bought it yet? If you havent will you someday?

On the side note i heard Nikki Rapp (Lilly's voice actor) voiced the children in the Sims 2, does anyone know if she voice acted in the Sims 4??

The sims 4 looks okay. There's things I don't like about it (no pools, toddlers and it's not an open world), but it looks a lot nicer and smoother.

Edit: I just saw gameplay of the sims 4 and it's not that different then the sims 3. It's kinda cool, but not cool enough for me to spend $60 on it

  • I saw the GB quick look and it looked like the same old sims, no reason to upgrade to this version, at least not until they do a complete edition or something.

  • Since the evil empire EA is behind it, I won't touch it.

  • Way overpriced for the features it has. And no doubt they're going to charge 60$ per expansion pack.

  • Kinda true.sims 3 was okay.ran slow and often glitches and such.sims 4 might fixed that,but I don't know

  • no... Sims 3 expansions were usually 30$ i bet sims 4 will be 30 - 40

  • I'll wait for an expansion package to come out, because I never really liked just the base game, but it seems like it's worse than TS3. No cars, pools, toddlers and dishwashers and most important no open world. They'll probably add these features in an EP and charge 50$ for them.

  • Indeed. This is my stance as well.

Since the evil empire EA is behind it, I won't touch it.

  • The ultimate money grubbing machine outside of Team Hatress....

  • I will not be buying it because you can no longer drown Sims in swimming pools :( That was the best part.

  • Not touching it, they got rid of Story Progression, which is why I touched the series in the first place. I enjoyed having a family that progressed in a living world, but now we are the only family that advances unless we advance the other families ourselves.

  • I know atleast you can still burn them though :3

  • It kinda a yes and no, theres still many elements of story progression in the Sims 4.

  • I've heard they got rid of them aging up and stuff. Not to mention there are still no open worlds.

  • Nope they still age up :) but yeah no open world is stupid it has its pros though, runs a lot smoother and the lots are a lot more realistic id give that up for open world again though.

  • What makes me laugh are the people defending the game by saying you need to look at it for what it is and you can't compare it to the old games by way of no pools or toddlers but come on, if the consumers have gotten the series to a number 4, I think we have the right to compare.

  • Why do you call them evil?

Since the evil empire EA is behind it, I won't touch it.

  • Never liked the Sims, so, I don't care about it.

  • HOW DARE YOU THINK DIFFERENTLY THAN ME!!!

Just kidding, its not for everyone,

  • I have the game.. It would be great if they didn't remove around 89 features tho.

They're the ultimate example of quantity over quality. They constantly release broken games. Look up the BF4 fiasco. That game had no business being released in the state it was in, but all they care about is $. The Sims 3 was also unplayable for most upon release.

They've also been voted the worst company in America twice.

Why do you call them evil?

  • Wow. I'm not much of a fan of EA games.

  • I heard BF4 was the same as well.

  • Not even gonna buy this one. The new emotion stuff is cool and it's something I've been hoping for since Sims 2, but I want the full Sims experience. THe lack of an open world is enough to make me pass on this. When Sims 5 comes out (and we all know it will because... EA) and they put all the good stuff back in, then I'll be happy. For now though, I'm sticking with Sims 3.

  • Im dissapointed, soooo many missing features and its too expensive. I know its just a base game but sims 3 base was fun playing it.

  • Not for me. I always hear about the stuff in the expansion and stuff packs and then I want to get them. I'm trying to get Seasons for 3 at the moment.

  • Yea I meant to say BF4.

    1. Sims 4 might be 60 dollars.
