some of them are so good i'm like "why didn't i think of that" like Larry - Christopher McDonald, Mark - Justin Bartha and especially with The Stranger - Jimmi Simpson it is sort of a surprise casting idea, but when you think about it it's perfect, he is often playing characters that are a bit off and weird, totally works for the stranger

I couldn't live without Michael Madsen as the voice of Carver, but if it had to be otherwise, I'd say Sean Bean in terms of looks. He could don an American accent, too. As it stands, though, I think they could get Madsen looking like Carver with some work.

Why Stanley Tucci? I get a really philosophical vibe from Walter, really calm and thoughtful. I think Stanley Tucci could play him quite well.

For those of you who don't know this, Christine Lakin is Jane's VA in the game. I really like Jane's voice, and I found that Lakin actually looks a lot like her, she just needs to lose some hair.
I think the voice-actors don't look like their game counterparts, and that they're irreplaceable, so a movie of the game doesn't really work. Especially given the layer of interactivity with the narrative the player is given.
If they're gonna make a movie, they could probably follow Lilly after the bandit attack. I'm thinking Nichole Kidman could pull off that no-nonsense, late-20's early-30's brunette look and rigid personality. The whole ordeal with her first survivor group could be her crucible for a transformation, hopefully for the better, and she could go on to become the badass female lead. Of course, it still has to end on a sad note or several.

Interesting point. I'm not really concerned about a video game character being potrayed by an actor, from my perspective I would be able to go along with their interpretation of the role (I mean, how many Bonds have we seen). Most of the movies (not including anime or CGI) we've seen based on video games are either fighting or action games, it would be interesting to see how a movie of this game genre with character's that have already been fleshed would be approached.

You may be right. So long as they don't try to pretty them up. They need to go for that terribly unkempt, no-nonsense look, and I'm not so sure I'd trust AMC with it. I wonder if it could be given to Frank Darabont for a blaze of glory, sort of make this between Telltale and the comic writers and him, and just leave AMC out of it. After all, Lilly doesn't belong to them.
