Wait, what are those comics called, where they got Bigby's background? I've read issue #1 and am at #143 right now, pending the rest. But what's the name of Bigby's backstory?

    EDIT:

I think I found it, it's Werewolves of the Heartland. thx

  • Well, so they got something wrong, but they're doing a whole feature on our favorite wolfman. I thought that was a nice surprise. :)

  • That's a pretty interesting story. I just picked it up to read again from the Library.

  • Nice... I love little videos like these. Thank ya for sharing. ;)

  • Bigby's background is explained little by little throughout the comics. Werewolves of the Heartland is a spinoff comic that revolves entirely on Bigby trying to find a new location for Fabletown. Its a must read tbh.

  • Didn't know this, really hope for more wolf among us games.

  • If you want to know how Bigby became the Big Bad Wolf and you wish to read about his childhood you should read "1001 nights of Snowfall". It contains a few short stories about what happened to the few characters from the comics back in the homelands in the old days (story about Bigby, Snow, Flycatcher, King Cole, Frau Totenkinder etc.). I really recommend this one and I think it is "must to read" for Fables fans.

  • Just a question.

Is there a story when Bigby and Snow FIRST met? Where/What is it called if so?

  • Yes, there is short prose story called "A Wolf in the Fold" and you can find it in the "Fables: Legends in Exile".

  • Cool video. Its interesting where Bigby has come from.

They also left out the bit where originally Bigby could only be in his Big Bad Wolf form, and couldn't transform into any other forms (human/werewolf), since he rejected everything about his father (his father could transform into different forms at will). Only after meeting Snow in the mundy forest land and getting cut from her lycanthropy knife does he gain the ability to transform at will between human/werewolf/big bad wolf forms (before coming to Fabletown). The video make it look like to non-comic readers that Bigby originally could change into any form at will.

But anyway, nice video. It should be helpful to anyone who hasn't seen the comics but wants to know a bit about Bigby.
