I am very proud of TellTale's treatment of Lawrence.

edited September 2014 in The Wolf Among Us

When I played Wolf Among Us episode 1, back in...October, I..think...I went to Lawrence first, and saved his life. I expected him to either be killed of later, or to never show up again.

Cue my surprise in episode 3, when this happened.

So, I figured, okay, maybe he's just going to be there, only to make the player feel good about themselves. never to be seen again. Then Episode 5 happened, and he was at the trial, and I thought that he was just going to be awkwardly placed there, and no one would mention him.

Then he spoke, and he got a response.

So, TellTale, good job. I am very pleased. Unfortunate that most players didn't save him.

  • I'm glad I went to his apartment first. He was a surprisingly good character. Besides going to toad's first doesn't really change anything, so going to Lawrence's first is better. :D

  • I don't understand how the majority of people chose to go to Toad's apartment first. I mean, you see the victim's husband with his blood all over the floor and then Toad calls you to report trouble at his building (as usual), I was expecting 80% of players to go to Lawrence's apartment first since he's closely related to the case.

I'm guessing people were worried that if you did not go to Toad's one of the Tweedles would have gotten away. Either way Dee runs off.

  • I originally chose to go the Lawrence's apartment, and it was still great to see him in episode 3 as well as him speaking up in episode 5 :P

  • Saving/talking to Lawrence feels like a Max Payne moment to me, and that's a good thing. XP

  • I love Lawrence soo much and seeing him and talking to him in the later episodes made me really happy.

Well, if you don't go to Toad first, Dum will hurt TJ. But yeah, in the long term going to Toad first doesn't really change anything. :P

So what? If I don't go to save Lawrence, he offs himself. I'd rather save a life while someone will suffer a little, than save this person from suffering at the cost of someone else's life.

I was happy to see Lawrence again in other playthroughs. For some reason, I couldn't get him back.
