What if Arvo...

What if, in season 3, Clem and AJ are pretty much screwed (surrounded by walkers) and Arvo saves them both.

"Clementine!" says Arvo. Arvo seems very happy to see Clementine

"A...Arvo?" says Clementine. Clementine frowns

"How are you? You know... other than almost being eaten?" says Arvo.

(player choice) "Fine...."

"Clementine... I am very happy to see you... alive. I sorry for... you know... I sorry for shooting you. It was foolish. I... I was full of regret as soon as I pull that trigger." says Arvo. "I thought you had died... I'm glad you did not."

Arvo's eyes tear up

^Would you still hate him? Could you forgive him?

  • What if Carver saved Clementine....

"I'm so sorry for being a mean guy, and killing some of your friends. Forgive?"
"Sure lets be friends! I love you!"

    Both embrace.

  • Clem: Looks like you didn't kill me back when you shot me. Where's Mike and Bonnie? Are they dead? Because you are. Shoots Arvo

  • More like she takes a page from Jane's book and stick a screwdriver into his head.

    You heartless bastard! Lol

There is one problem: Arvo does not regret shooting Clem. His face is less one of regret and more one of a 'eh, I got you now' face.

  • Haha, okay. I was just mulling it over in my head. (What would it take for me to forgive arvo*

I'm big on the whole Arvo dying in a fire idea, to be honest. Thought it might be interesting to try and figure out what it would take for me to forgive him.

Probably not just an apology like this. It would keep me from trying to kill him, probably, but it wouldn't be enough to forgive him.

  • Clem: So... Why did your english become better yet again?

  • Arvo was all kinds of annoying.... A liar, a sneaky bastard, someone ruthless enough to shoot a child, and a freaking cry baby all rolled into one. If anyone deserves a salt lick to the head, it's him.

  • Oh, and while we're on the subject, I think people should be less mad at Arvo and more pissed at Bonnie/Mike. I mean, he screwed everyone over and shot Clem but you know, after what Kenny had been doing to him, I kind of understand. Bonnie and Mike have no excuse AT ALL. "Oh, we're scared of that guy so we're just gonna run away with all the supplies of our group, leaving a kid and a baby to die!"

  • I'd say anyone who robbed the meds deserves as much

  • He was a junky. Those meds weren't for anybody but himself. His sister wasn't sick. Why would he be stashing them in the garbage miles from their base camp?

Why? Because I bothered to save murderers already.

  • I wouldn't forgive him at first. I'd keep him around, but I wouldn't trust him completely. It would take about an episode or two of him acting like a good guy to contradict the episode or two where he was an asshole

  • To hide for his sister mayhaps? Think outside the box, we don't need to listen to what Jane said. It's obvious he cared about his sister, and he didn't get cravings in Ep5. Buricko or Vitali may have used meds for recreational purposes, or been abusive etc. Arvo wanted to get his sister out of the camp. We don't know, it could be that or not

You won't find much forgiveness here. People wanted to kill Ben just for leaving Clem. My Clem would forgive though. I raised her that way lol

yea cause clem is gonna be so happy to see arvo and arvo is just gonna be just thrilled to find out clem survived the shot you keep thinking that bud while me and many others plan to kill arvo next time we see him.....

I'm afraid I'd consider killing Arvo as an act of pragmatism. Any way Season 2 ends Arvo has hostility towards Clementine for what happened to his sister and sooner or later rage in the WD universe dictates a person's actions.

Oh, and he shot her so I'm afraid, yeah, he dies.

  • I think it would take more than an apology to forgive that POS.

I'll stay with him, but i won't trust him.

Yes, he shot Clem, but he saved her life, surely that redeems him?

  • I suspect Arvo would have been apologetic. The kid was clearly weak and he could have been bullied by his family. He certainly wasn't acting alone and I never got the impression he was leading that group. After his family were killed, he was bullied badly by Kenny and was rubbish at standing up for himself or justifying anything. So I pity Arvo. Arvo was a victim as much as anyone else. He's the Ben of season 2. It's unfortunate it had gone so far before it was just him and the group.

But the flip side of that is that he made his choices. The why doesn't hugely matter. He did what he did and he's responsible for his own actions. And his actions got people killed and he shot Clem. All the characters have it bad in Walking Dead and many have made far better choices than Arvo did. So as part of Clem's group, pitying him doesn't change anything he had done. Forgiving him after everything that happened? Very difficult. And would it matter? He couldn't be trusted for the very reason everything happened with him: he's too weak.

  • I would forgive Arvo, and embrace him. Slowly tightening my grip around his neck until the light from his eyes goes silent.

    I forgive you Arvo.

First off, let me ask you if any part of you could believe him? I would (Well, I wouldn't. I'd blow those goofy broken hipster glasses right through the back of his shitbucket weaselprick skull at about "Cle-") immediately ask myself what Arvo's alterior motive might be for saying and doing those things. He hasn't shown himself to be a very genuine guy, to put it mildly.

Secondly... come to think of it, I suppose I pretty much made my second point in the parenthetical.

  • If I get to shoot him in the solder and call it even I'll be good

  • Wouldn't Carver start by saying:

"Long story short, I got lucky. Real lucky..."

    What?

  • I'm not saying I want it to happen :)

I was just brainstorming as to what situation could possibly make me forgive him.

Right now I want him to die in a fire.
