Alright, its become pretty clear. People are NOT happy about Luke's death. Me included. Dear Telltale. I have been a huge fan of your recent games for a while. I absolutely love the wolf among us. Characters, setting, style, and of course, the story, are very compelling in that game. This is one of the reasons I got so upset when Luke died under that ice. Telltale, as long as I've known you, your plots have been well-constructed, and seem to have been planned very well. But, this Luke thing...it just seemed so wrong. It's not like you, Telltale.
First off, it just seemed damn illogical. Why spend weeks on meticulous character development planning, and then just kill a character off? To me, Luke was a very intriguing character throughout the game, and I'm sure I'm not the only one here who wanted to learn more about his past, his intentions, and his true self.
Even the drastic emotional impact Luke's death was intended to have on players didn't really affect me. It left me thinking "Why Telltale? WHY?!" Why would you kill off the seemingly kindest character in the walking dead season 2? Well it's not only that he's kind. He has this kind of special connection with Clem that really added something into the game. In my opinion, the death just seemed too rushed, underplanned and emotionally weak. Please take everyone who's here's ideas into consideration Telltale, because I think you know its clear that something needs to be done about this.
I'd love for Luke to return in the next season.

"He was never meant to live" does not excuse you. Why? Because when Carley was shot, nobody complained because she wasn't that big of a character, she played a minor role in the story and there was a reason for her to die. Carley is the reason Lilly snaps and why she steals the van, leaving the groups only option to be using the train. When Lee was bitten, nobody complained because his story was told. He was a well developed character and when there was nothing more to do with that character, he was killed off in a very thought out and well planed manor. Luke, is a main character that's underdeveloped and was killed off. See the issue? We know virtually nothing about him and that generally seems to be one of the biggest issues of this season. Nick and Sarah were also underdeveloped characters that were killed off in such a way that it makes me think that you literally went with the first ideas you came up with. Now, that wouldn't be too bad... if it wasn't for the fact that you made fun of Sarah at that IGN podcast. Seriously, is that how you treat your characters? Anyway, Luke was one of the more developed characters, I mean, you literally wasted 4 episodes developing him and then you just kill him off, and for what? Shock factor? Are you serious?Have you really reached that point where you're so desperate for shock factor that you kill off characters so that you'll shock the audience? Well, guess what, the TV show did that and it lost over a quarter of it's viewers and from what I've seen in a recent poll, the same thing's gonna happen with the next season of your game. Almost 40 percent wont be buying it and almost 30 percent will only buy it if you make it better than season 2. And how can you do that? 2 ways:
1) Don't kill characters for shock factor. It never works and it always results in you losing a good chunk of your audience.
2) Bring Luke back. Don't say, "we can't do that. He obviously died". If that was the case, then please explain to me how Kenny managed to survive that herd of walkers? Yeah, "He obviously died" isn't gonna cut it.
You're probably thinking that you're receiving a lot of unnecessary hate. Well guess what, you made an extremely stupid decision and now you have to deal with it.

Proof?
Luke was a pretty cool guy.
He did die, as far as anyone is concerned. Have you not got that far into the game?

And yet nobody cared for poor little Doug.
I finally found a positive to Nick's death, it lowered my standards so much that when I compare his death to someone else's it instantly looks like a great death, which is why I didn't mind Luke's demise.
Damn, you smartass
That means that the writers created such a poor death that you literally lost faith in them and didn't expect any better from them. That's sad....
Well said sir. Anything else you would like to throw at Telltale?
Lee, Carley, Ben, Christa, Kenny, Duck, Katja, Bonnie, etc, etc. Your argument is invalid.
This is The Walking Dead! People die independent of development.
Here´s my poem for Luke. I put a lot of thought into this.
There was a man in Season two
Who we thought was dead
Dashing looks and Disney prince hair too
He shows up in Season three instead
