Well my all-time favorite is the Wallking Dead because of its story, tough choices, and memorable characters. But if I choose a second favorite, it would probably be a three way tie between The Last of Us, Alan Wake, and Bioshock Infinite.
Growing up 90's: Doom 1+2, Diablo, Diablo 2, and Heroes 3
,
2000-2010: Timesplitters, Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction, and Heroes 3,
Now: The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, L4D1+2, Mount and blade Warband
Games are like athletes. In my mind you can't Compare Gretzky to Crosby or James to Jordan because they are in different era's, and different playing style. Diablo 2, Doom, and Heroes are awesome but sadly evolution changes and some things you like die, while some get ruined. But they helped me through some tough times and I am still looking forward to Doom 4.
I would have to say: The Last of Us. The Walking Dead. And Need for Speed; most wanted.
I like the stories of both TWD, and TLOU.
And Need for Speed, I like racing games.
Though I do not like to spend all day playing them.
And if I do play them, it's maybe once every couple of weeks.
Like to spend my time more constructively.
Mass Effect because of the characters.
TWD because of ... you know.
Bioshock because of deep story.
Borderlands 2 because of Guns.
The Warriors because they rule.
Dude, I just recently started replaying the first three games, I want to play the 4th one so bad! But the second one is an instant classic. I absolutely loved it.
That's a little tough, I'd probably say Sly 2: Band of Thieves, that was the first video game where I actually cared about the characters an… mored got fully invested in the story and it really made me appreciate on what video games could do when it came to stories plus it was fun as hell.
Earthbound and Mother 3 are tied for me because first, both have a great story, with great characters, and actually made me sad during various parts of the game. Second, the games are both very quirky (their both in the same series, Earthbound is the 2nd one in the series) and have a very unique combat system. Lastly, they both have crazy good soundtracks and also, the games don't take themselves too seriously (Although Mother 3 is very depressing at times) Here is a taste of a song from each of the games:
I love everything about this game. The gameplay was immensely entertaining, and the environment felt so alive, that it might as well have been an ecosystem on its own! Every time I think of the insanely fun moments I had with this game, I shed a tear. :')
I LOVED RDR!
It reminded me a lot of a Clint Eastwood western.
I hope they come up a sequel, or a prequel.
Or perhaps tell a contemporary story, one where John Marston makes a cameo appearance.
Perhaps, we'll get to play as Marshal Leigh Johnson, or as the Legendary Landon Rickets.

Wait, is that a rhetorical question (as in she's famous or in The Walking Dead) or are you just asking?
Either way, I looked it up, and I can't seem to find the answer. Her voice acting is apparently universally panned though.
lol Big whoop wanna fight about it?
Go fuck yourself in the ass if you don't appreciate me giving my opinion on ur thread.
The Last of Us is here and you don't think that's overrated?

Never could have known that a pixel game could make me cry.
Because it is awesome
The MASS EFFECT Trilogy

haven't you played pokemon? everyone cries whenever entei flees
Ikana used to scare the shit out of me as a little kid..
I'll always love this game.
Call it nostalgia... but..
Otherwise I would say TWD or Fallout 3.
Better than GTA in my opinion. Still waiting for a HD remake.
Kingdom Hearts, it's made me a kinder person

I'm sure most people would except this, but I don't care:

FUCK YEAH!
all the mentioned games so far were GOOD and NOT OVERATED, and you put THIS PEICE OF SHIT ON THE TABLE?! you should be ashamed...

I remember Rockstar saying a sequel of some sorts is in the works. Look it up.
10/10 Will do a fourth playtrough.
yeah i know but i'm reallyy want to know who voiced her.
Hey don't forget him! I actually quite liked him as well!
And him in investigations! Wish we had the second one:(
i hope you are joking.
You bet!!
Oblivion. I've spent way too much of my short life playing that game XD
dude i was joking dont worry about it you can state your opinion, but dont you think its the least bit overated?
i was joking about being mean, i was not joking on saying GTA is one of the most overated and overplayed games ever
Sure I can see its overrated sure. As a matter of fact, I don't really like gta5 all that much anymore because it feels a bit too overwhelming for me.
I even think The Last of Us is overrated, but it still manages to be in my top 10 games of all time.
The radio stations and characters were amazing.
Bounce FM was my favorite.
