how do i create my own fable fictional characters?

I wanted to post this question in the create your own fables thread, but decided not to because i didn't want to mess his thread up.

so yea any ideas how i can create my own fables for my own stories?

    First of all, you don't have to worry about 'messing' my thread up. It's completely fine if you have a question to ask on there, me or any of my thread regulars would be glad to help. :) Also, don't hesitate to send me a personal message on here if you ever need my input on things.

    Second, here's a bulleted list of mine with questions that might help you get a few ideas about creating your desired Fable, and maybe your story in general:

    • Will your character's name be unique?
    • Will your character be a guy or a girl?
    • Will your story follow multiple characters or just one?
    • Will your character have any powers?
    • Is your Fable currently living in Fabletown or The Farm? If your Fable is living on The Farm, how will he/she get to Fabletown?
    • If your character were to come to Fabletown: Will your character know anyone personally from there? Or will everyone be a complete stranger to him/her? How will he/she make friends with the Fabletown residents?

    I read a volume of Fairest where fables live outside of the Farm and Fabletown. I don't think you necessarily have to limit yourself there. Are you developing a unique Fable with no backstory or do you plan on Fable development based on a backstory originally created by you?

    I'm aware that Fables can live outside of New York and the United States in general. I was simply giving Rose a few pointers to help her out with her character, should she decide to refer back to those questions.

    Was that a question for me? My Fable's already a unique character on his own without a proper backstory so far.

    Would love to see you contribute to the thread. :) Have fun; do not worry too much about it. Its meant to have fun and interact with the other fellow writers we have; we are a VERY friendly bunch and would welcome you. :)

    I know one of the writers personally; he likes to write them down first and then add them on the thread. Try doing that and play around with the idea.
