Any other horror movies Telltale should convert to games ?
Nightmare on Elmstreet for example could make a great game were you don't know if you are in a dream or not that would be awesome
Or Friday the 13th were you play as Jason and go up against complete police forces and schoolclasses...
But the games will be like the wolf amongst us and twd seas1 it has to take people by storm and get them hooked...
Any other suggestions for horrormovie themed games?

First of all, wrong section. And there is already a thread for this.
Second, I honestly think both of these suggestions are bad. Games based on these movies would follow their standart plot-losing the unpredictable feeling Telltale likes to mantain-, and Telltale wouldn´t be allowed to kill off neither Jason nor Freddy off, so it could be a rather boring and predicatable series. Just like the movies. And honestly, the whole suggestion of playing as Jason, "against complete plice forces and shoolclasses"...that could be just a action game, and Telltale would not have any interest in that. Besides, playing as a murderous murdering bastard like Jason doesn´t really make for a relatable, likeable protagonist, nor a protagonist that could any trouble, since, you know, he is basically a god. He only works as the antagonist.
But I would like to see a game based around the Alien movies. And by Alien movies, I mean just the first movie. That would be great.
In my opinion, both of those movies would be lame as hell as games and I wouldn't play them. Fighting Freddy in your dreams or running away from Jason/trying to find a way to kill him seem boring as fuck especially if its put into episodes.
Funny, when I saw this thread my first thought was Alien too. A slow burner, with much of it being the interaction of a crew in a stressful scenario. It could make for an excellent Telltale game and we haven't seen an Alien game take that approach yet.
THE THING!
If Telltale has the funds to release a (relatively) big game instead of one with seasons, The Thing would be perfect. I know there's already a game, but with Telltale, you could go completely with the paranoia theme, depending on your choices certain people will die and (including the player character), and it has replay value in that you can explore the different options into who lives and dies, how quickly you catch the Thing etc...
I wouldn't work in best in episodes (I don't think), but if Telltale has the resources to put together a larger game or if it's a paycheck by paycheck type thing, but (say 6-8 hours, $20-30 a pop?) that would be gold.
You don't play as Freddy in NOE was my idea and that is why i like it
Alien could be a hit indeed
Well . a horror / terror movie maded by TTG ?
since its a point and click story-game mode.. i doubt it would make us freeze in the chair or something.... but a SAW game would be cool
you play as Jason and in NOE you play as a student who lives in Elmstreet
And eventually Friday the 13th and Nightmare On Elmstreet share Episode 5 in a Freddie vs Jason episode where Freddie returns to the living realm... but how that turns out is up to Telltale the episode is a different experience when you play as Freddie or Jason
Typho. I mean to type Jason, not Freddy.
Don't they "die" every movie ? So you can kill them off but then everyone fears Freddie so he's back in dreams and Jason wakes up every time in his movies . YHou can't kill then but you can put them to rest
That´s exactly what I mean. Telltale would not be allowed to change the status quo of any of those movies, so the games could be pointless and predictable.
It could be , but its gonna be a spin off so it will be different...
And maybe TTG coulkd really surprise the creators of those characters
Alien if they can get the license.
I would be awesome if they fix the framedrops in the beginning of a scene because it would ruin a chase scene.
And in seas2 or 3 introduce Predators?
what frame drops, if your talking about on PS3, that is the consoles fault.
Saw, that could be very sick
It would be funny that at the end of TWD the masked guy askes Clem Kenny Jane or whoever is with you at that time if they want to play a game and Saw has started
Yes, the Thing would work perfectly. It has enough intrigue and suspense without it's action. Unlike the movies stated above. Tons of settings for the game as well and could prove for some good visuals.
Why would that introduce predators in a Alien game. If they make a game set in the Alien verse that's too far ahead in the future for the Yautja to still maintain their hunts.
I could also say that about the Borderlands game from TTG, but they made it work i guess
We shouldn't be talking about off-topics. This is the walking dead guys.
They mostly come out at night
Mosley
Get away from her you BITCH!
"you can explore the different options into who lives and dies"
Telltale is going to kill off whoever you chose to live, so it won't change regardless..
What I'm about to suggest probably isn't all that feasible (or at least not practical), but I'd go shorter, like only two hours, but with a randomization element deciding which characters are the Thing. If they really are PERFECT imitations, then they would just act like the characters if they weren't assimilated, at least until such time you expose them (or you're alone with them). So it'd be a short game, but every time you won't actually be sure who is what, which feeds right back into the paranoia element. And if you just accuse and badger everyone then everyone else will turn on you, figuring you're the Thing, or just fucking crazy. So every time you play, you'd have to walk this tight rope of trusting no one, but not letting the paranoia consume you.
Like I said, probably not feasible, considering all the factors the story would have to keep track of, but if it was kept to a single short episode, it might be possible. Have a single structured path for the actual overall story progress through, with the same obstacles and dilemmas each time, with the characters branching out based on how you treat them and a random element to which ones are actually the Thing. Probably more work than it's worth but I'd love it.
It doesn´t change anything. If they are not allowed to permantely kill Jason nor Freddy-and they couldn´t not allow them do that, because as long as they are alive they can continue their respective series- then the games could be pointless.
That's part of why I'm saying no seasons; just one longer slightly branching game. Shorter than a season but longer than a single episode. Like you can get Alvin or Nick to live out an episode (maybe Doug/Carley would be a better example). It would be (to my knowledge) a longer game than they've done before, but if they have the resources that'd be excellent.
Tales From The Bonderlands is going to be a sequel, so they can do meaningful things in the Borderlands universe. Making a game about Freddy or Jason is a enterily different-there a very rigid status quo that Telltale could not be allowed to change.
and why not?
I think Freddy has lost his momentum just like Jason so a game could very well make them relevant again and if succesfull new movies could come.
Hell lets have Freddy go after Bloody Mary that would be awesome
evil dead, resident evil
Well if you want a longer game. Then borderlands is for you.
Mash the prompt to loose your fuckin' mind!
Horror Films I Would Like To See Made Into Games By TellTale Are
Halloween,
Evil Dead,
A Nightmare On Elm Street,
Phantasm,
Frankenstein (1931)
Evil Dead because Telltale already has a model for Ash Williams in Poker Night 2, they might as well use it for a full game!
i think if twd goes on like this every character becomes that insane
Honestly, I think Saw would be pretty interesting. Imagine trying to escape from traps.
Would love for them to do a Halloween video game though I don't see how they could. A child's play game would be awesome too.
I mean, I wouldn't classify it as horror, but I would lose my shit if TTG ever made a game based on the Hellboy comics. And they've already made a game based off of the comic Fables(TWAU), hopefully one day they'll steer their gazes towards everyone's favorite Nazi-killing demon child?XD
Halloween or Evil Dead ( Based on the new remake ).
I want Fatal Frame.
I want to hear Clementine say
MY BROTHER AND I WENT TO THE HIMOTO MANSION.
HE WAS THE ONLY ONE
WHO
UNDERSTOOD ME.
MR TAKAMEANIE NOOOOEs.
Saw
A telltale fatal frame game? I'm down with that.
