Perhaps this is why S2 hasn't been confirmed yet.
This may seem far fetched, but this might be a reason why they haven't confirmed TWAU S2. I was just searching, and before The Walking Dead Season 2 and TWAU, Telltale never worked on two games at once. They usually worked on one game, and would start releasing a new game either at the tail end of the previous game, long after production is completed, or long after the game was released. When they worked on S1 of TWD, which we all know was critically acclaimed, that was the only game Telltale was focused on at the time. But then they started doing two games at once, S2 and TWAU. TWAU was critically acclaimed, but S2, while it still received positive reviews, wasn't on the same level of S1. And since many people that worked on TWAU also worked on S2, their attention was diverted, causing one game to suffer more than the other. Now they have TFTBL and GOT, which will also be worked on at the same time. I believe that Telltale is waiting to see how working on two games will work out. If one game suffers while another is successful, Telltale isn't going to continue working on two games at once and will once again focus on developing one game. And since S3 of TWD was already confirmed, if they were to focus on one game, that's going to be their main priority since it's the bigger money maker. I think, eventually, we will get S2, but it will come much later, like maybe towards the end of S3 of The Walking Dead.
And also, consider this. Like I said, Telltale is currently working on TFTBL and GOT. Telltale was saying, by what I've heard, that Borderlands was supposed to be released in the fall, like early October. It's almost November, it seems to be constantly getting delayed, but they won't say why. Could it be from them working on multiple projects at once?
I am not stating any of this as fact, this is just a theory as to why I think Season 2 has not been confirmed yet. Please let me know what you think.

Makes sense to me. Though I want a Season 2 for TWAU more than anything else at the moment, I'd prefer Telltale to give it their best shot and this is why I'm ready to settle down and patiently wait for it to be done properly. I don't want it to be handled the same way as TWD S2, it sure as hell deserves a better treatment.
But yet I frankly don't understand why TTG take so much new stuff on their shoulders to work on, when they have the brilliant old projects with so much potential for development and a huge loyal fanbase behind them, that is still anxious about getting more and more of them. It's just not fair when a masterpiece such as The Wolf Among Us suffers a long term abandonment, while we don't even know if there's gonna be a continuation. And if you ask me, there really, really should be one. Why Telltale? :c I simply don't get it.
I agree, I would love a Season 2 of The Wolf Among Us, the game far exceeded my expectations and I loved every episode. But the reason why they take so much new stuff...money. The more projects they release, the more money they make. Both Borderlands an GOT have a loyal fanbase as well, especially GOT, by releasing both games essentially at the same time, that makes them more money, since fans of the series will play them no matter what. And if fans of these series like these games, it will lead them to play older games, such as TWD and TWAU, giving them even more money. We just have to be patient and wait, it's better to wait for an amazing product than get a mediocre project because they were rushing to get it out.
True that. Like I said, I'm going to wait for a great sequel as long as it takes, but still I think we could use at least some news on TWAU. It ain't so hard for Telltale to give us something to ease our worries.
Do you know anything about Telltale? They don'tusually release stuff until a couple weeks before the release. When they say, "Coming soon," it means like 3 months. Telltale loves to make people wait in anticipation.
I Think telltale is getting bigger. hiring a bigger staff and different ones to work on each project, that will not be an issue focusing on two game! i think TWD is what make more money, so i think if they hire more people they would work on two games at once with no problems.
also they seem to getting bigger by working on TFTB and GOT!! i dont think we'll get TWAU season 2 anytime soon. or maybe never. but if they didnt, it will become a classic telltale game!
I don't know if they're expanding or not, so I hope you're right. Last I checked, Telltale has about 180 employees. I hope they hire more so that it would ease the burden on some of the employees like Darin, Lenart, Shorette, Stirpe, Kaufman, and others who worked on both TWD and TWAU.
I know okay? I'm just saying it would be nice to get regular updates on the progress. If they at least confirmed that a new Season of TWAU is coming, it would be way easier for me to keep waiting for it patiently.
True.
Well don't forget that each episode takes about close to 3 months to make and it's going to be hard to make new characters and also a new murder and new places to go
Yeah, maybe they just want a better trial run with making two games at once, (but I don't know if TFTB and GoT will be a good example for them considering they have two completely different teams, which TWD s2 and TWAU didn't). Maybe they also want to have the s2 take place after the comics, so they are waiting until all the issues are out before getting on it?
Either way, I hope we do eventually get a s2, but I hope that it doesn't get delayed to late 2016 or early 2017, because then the interest in the game series might be lost in the eyes of most fans. Hopefully we get an announcement to at least let us know there will be one, and I am definitely keeping my fingers crossed on a DLC regardless if there will be a s2 or not.
I doubt it will be lost, I've seen a lot of die hard fans of TWAU who would wait however long it took for a S2, but they should say at least say if there will be a S2, but just not start working on it until TWD is almost done.
Well, it makes sense from my developerly point of view. Telltale is surely not a big company, I doubt they have more than 200 employees, and that might be the primary reason of their pacing. Developing two games at once is a challenge without a doubt. I can imagine they are usually producing a good amount of resources before the game is announced, and later they're just putting them together over the course of 6 months. Anyway, that's my best guess for their schedule:
TFTB Dec 2014 - Aug 2015
GOT Dec 2014 - Sep 2015
So, development of TWD S3 should begin somewhere between June 2015 - Oct 2015. I'm guessing TWAU S2 will be confirmed around mid-late 2015, and first episode will be dispatched around early-mid 2016.
I know it's only Wikipedia, but it says Telltale currently has 180 employees.
