Why isn't this also on Wii U!?

Seriously, with the increasingly impressive library of games Wii U has & is getting it makes no sense that this great game is for ps360 but not the Wii U..... Any mods/admins on here that would care to elaborate WHY Nintendo is being left out in the cold OR that the game will be released onto the eShop in the near future?

I have to agree, I think it's just that Telltale isn't considering the Wii U as a console that would make them enough money, but I think it would be a great idea since the install base of the Wii U has increased greatly with the release of Mario Kart 8 and Smash Wii U's upcoming release, there are going to be a lot more Wii U's in peoples hands. I hope they reconsider and bring their games to the Wii U.

Also if I know this correctly, I'm pretty sure they brought their original Sam and Max games to the Wii back in the day.

  • Well given how games like Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2 & OF COURSE....Super Smash Bros have already & will further increase sales of the unit I'm surprised they haven't made a formal announcement. I mean the Wii U has already surpassed the Xbox1 worldwide & isn't too far from the total sales #s of ps4......it's starting to look like ignorant media coverage & stereotypes are what's holding back larger third parties from rejoining Nintendo.

In my country, we called Nintendo “the third-party games killer” :-N

  • Well your country doesn't know much about Nintendo then. It's not Nintendo's fault that third parties are being stingy. They can work VERY well with third-party developers & it's been proven with games like Resident Evil 4, Hyrule Warriors, Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes, Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, Bayonetta 2 & Super Smash Bros to name a few. The main problem is people's over all ignorance of Nintendo & not doing their homework before making judgements.

  • The....comment by ClemyClooAndBabyboo (if you can even call it a comment) only proves my point.

  • I also enjoyed all the Strong Bad & Monkey Island games on Wii so I expect this to grace my favorite console company as well. Bump.

  • I think its more confusing that Walking Dead Pinball is on WiiU but not Walking Dead itself or any other TellTale Game

  • Lol I didn't even think about that haha. But didn't Zenstudio do that one like all the other Pinball titles?

  • Telltale be discriminating again.

  • Seriously, & even though the Wii U is doing substantially better than it originally did they've yet to show their support. I would buy this for my Galaxy Note 3.....but it keeps force closing on me & tells me it stops unexpectedly. Also I prefer Nintendo over the other 2 & fully support good 3rd party games on Nintendo systems even though I own a ps3 &Vita. I CHOOSE Nintendo & won't be buying this game on the psn or google play EVER. The free first level is as far as I'll go UNTIL TellTale shares these gems with Nintendo again!

  • I do not speak from experience, but it's my understanding that it's a pain in the behind to port games to the Wii U. Having said that, sales have been up recently for the Wii U, so Telltale might soon decide that the install base is now big enough to justify doing it.

  • I llike how your list of "third party" games are all first or second party games, with the exception of RE4. It really is telling how the third party devs are abandoning Nintendo. It's absolutely Nintendo's fault for creating inferior dev tools. Telltale ports their games to small install bases all the time (OUYA) and even they won't go near Nintendo anymore.

  • I know, right. WE NEED TWAU TELLTALE!

  • Indeed, though the sources behind some of the negative aspects of the Wii U's hardware have been compromised (they never came forward with who said what & a LOT of negativity has been disproven) so I don't think porting this to Wii U is nearly as difficult as some would have you believe. I mean the ps3's cell processor is still the most difficult to work with, definitely still more of a pain than porting games to Wii U.

  • Well whenever the mods or admins feel like getting around to responding to my question.

They won't. Mods aren't part of the TT staff and they usually have no idea what goes on in Telltale HQ. Besides, the actual Telltale staff don't bother responding to request threads like these. You're honestly better off not wasting your time any further.

After playing their Sam & Max Season 2 port for Wii. I have a feeling they have a hard time working with Nintendo Hardware.

  • What about the Wii port gave you that impression? And if it's based off your experience with the pc version then of course it wouldn't be on par.

  • Well I'm still waiting for an explanation about the port of S&MFLP...

  • A Terrible inconsistent framerate, constant crashing and freezing, stuttering, and the last section of episode 5 was barely playable. It was a awful port for such a great season.

  • So you're saying that your comment about discrediting the Wii U's development abilities are just as full of BS as the "anonymous" sources who falsely claimed the same thing? Good to know, thanks for letting me know to not take your claims seriously.

The mods are not from Telltale. They are volunteer workers. They can't answer your question.
