So I'm an avid reader and I'm curious as to what you guys have read, either recently, ones that stick out to you, or your favorites.

Ones I've read recently:

Gray Mountain by John Grisham

Lord of the Flies by Wiliam Golding

Sans Bon Sang by Annette St. Pierre (French book for French class)

Some of my favorites:

Dreamhouse Kings series by Robert Liparulo

Who Is Bugs Potter? by Gordon Korman

A Semester In The Life Of A Garbage Bag by Gordon Korman

So what have you read?

  • I've read a lot of books, but now not as much as I used to. Some of my favorite series is Harry Potter, The Hobbit, The Great Gatbsy, and The Book Thief Right now, I'm reading the ASOIAF series, which have to be the best fantasy series I've read since Harry Potter.

  • I try to read around 6-8 books a month. Currently I'm reading Never Fade from The Darkest Minds series.

  • Right now for English class we are reading the Metamorphosis and Night.

  • The last book I read was "Lord of the flies" and that was a few months ago.

  • Right now I'm reading a book on Dependent Personality Disorder and Evasive Personality Disorder.

    Aren't I a bucket of fun?

  • Oh, I loved The Metamorphosis. Fun thing somebody did was compare it with David Cronenberg's 'The Fly.'

Right now for English class we are reading the Metamorphosis and Night.

  • I got a C in Metamorposis last month.

  • I'd recommend some Albert Camus. Preferably The Fall or The Stranger, both are astonishing short novels.

Also, I think I've posted this elsewhere, but Piotr Dumala is a really good animator and he did a short film on Kafka:

  • I don't know why, but I had trouble with 'The Fall,' I loved 'The Stranger,' and even 'The Plague,' but even more I loved his essay "The Myth of Sisyphus." Honestly, if anybody is going to start with philosphy, I might recommend that book first. Opening line: "There is only one serious philosophical question: suicide."

  • I feel like it's pretty sad during the end...

  • We had to read an article on Franz Kafka, pretty sad life, always pushed people away, always wanted his fathers approval....It's sad.

  • I haven't gotten around to The Myth of Sisyphus, but my dad recommended it.

I was reading A Happy Death but stopped due to my weird work schedule, really want to finish it though. It's neat though, cause I've heard it was one of Camus' first books yet the last one to be published.

I like my books weird and complex. I'm sure you've also heard of Kurt Vonnegut as well. Now there's a weird guy. Tried to stay on Slaughterhouse Five but, damn, was it elaborate as all hell.
