I received my Wolf Among us DVD and...

I'm really sorry. I'm not sure where to go about this so if it's not here and that gives mods more work or something I'm really sorry about that.

I received my Wolf Among Us DVD in the mail today and the box is decimated and also the DVD case isn't shrink wrapped (or whatever it's called) at all. It's like someone already used it, stomped on the case, put it in a parcel and sent it to me.

I like to collect the Telltale DVDs of their adventure games since the very first Sam and Max (I have a shelf just for all of them), but this one is... I don't know. It's the first time I've ever seen anything like this.

Is there a way I can get this replaced?

I just want to reiterate that I only took this out of the parcel package and I didn't remove any wrapping or break it. This is exactly how it was as I took it out. I literally just got it from the mail box maybe 5 minutes ago.

  • Waiting for @puzzlebox to help our friend here.

Also, my TWD2 signature edition came without the shrink wrap and the disc had a few tiny scratches

  • I hope mine doesnt come all ruined ;-;

  • Hmm, that's unfortunate. :/

Don't worry, it's cool! Moderators aren't Telltale staff so I can't help you directly, but I'll see if I can't try to get you some help from the people who do have a say. You could also try the support forums if you are still concerned.

Does the disc work fine, or is that also harmed somehow? If it's just the case that is broken, I imagine you can remove the case cover and put the DVD/case cover on some generic DVD case.

The thing is; the whole reason for getting the physical copy in the first place is to have a sealed copy for my collection. If it's not sealed it kind of defeats the purpose.
I mean, telltale games in general I mainly just purchase and download digitally. It's always been a nice perk that they send you the physical copy. I was just hoping to get one that isn't open and broken.
    Hopefully that makes sense =)

And okie dokie. Do I just repost this in the support forums, then? I wasn't sure about that.

Edit: I guess I should add if they aren't sealing this one for some reason (maybe to save on the manufacturing- still a little strange but ok) I do understand and I'll bite the bullet on this one and just have one that isn't sealed. I'm a collector, but I'm not trying to be crazy about it =P

Ah, I see. I forgot to take the sealing into consideration. As for reposting this on the support forums, you can if you want to. They also can be contacted via email at support@telltalegames.com as well.

As I said, I'll try to see if I can't let someone from Telltale know, as Moderators usually are able to have more direct conversations with various staff members such as Puzzlebox (the community manager), as well as staff members from support or the web team. We aren't always guaranteed a response when things are busy, but as I said, I'll try.

  • Okie Dokie. Thanks a bunch for the info.
What I'll do is I'll wait until tomorrow to see what's up. I don't want to badger or anything. I'm fine giving them time and what not- I'm not pushy or whatever.
If they're too busy I can post about it on the support forums (as I'd guess that puts it in a ticketing cue anyway) about it and I'll go from there.
Thanks again for the hot tip! =)

I also had a bit of damage to mine but i replaced the original box with a DVD case.

Telltale staff like @puzzlebox are very busy with the upcoming releases so she might not be able to help at the moment. Like Blind Sniper said try sending an email to support@telltalegames.com and hopefully you will get help from someone. customcd.com is the company distributing the discs so any damage would probably have happened at their fulfillment center or possibly during the USPS transit.
