Not enough for me to go on. I'm very skeptical... That said, I'll still probably go see it in IMAX, all the while chastising myself for having succumbed to the temptation of mindless eye-candy.
Though apparently the writer of episodes V and VI cowrote this one, so it might not be completely mindless after all.
Oh I know, if Star Wars is decent it'll make the money JW, but the 'essence of chaos' says that it will go wrong, because before they even knew what they had they patented it, packaged it, and slapped it on a plastic lunch box and sell it, they want it sell it.
Their producers keep thinking about if they could but not if they should.
It actually took me a moment to realize what was going on, and then it took me a moment to realize it's fake. But yes, it's a glorious bump … moregif
Also, the shark idea is funny as hell, but I honestly think Star Wars will be more successful.
SPOILER!
Not because it's better.
EDIT: I also have it from JPlegacy. We probably have it from the same user.

That was confusing. They is Star Wars.
Watching this trailer (or teaser, how all the fans insist), I feel like this even more now. It sucks.
I'm assuming they're insisting it's a teaser because... that's what it is. It was a teaser, and wasn't really meant to show us much of anything. I would personally withhold judgement at this point.
Wow. I never liked Star Wars, it's so goddamned overhyped. They aren't even good movies!
I really tried getting into them, watched each a… moret least twice. I just can't. The movies are all mediocre to bad.

Even from a neutral POV, I would say it sucks. It looks ridiculously bland and stupid.
Another film I know I won't watch in cinema, nor at all.

It will have to have a real story somewhere. You can't tell that from this trailer, which has been useless except for spawning conversations like, "Why would anyone design a light saber like that????"
I'll probably wind up seeing it in the theater on opening night regardless.

The teaser didn't get me too excited for the most part, and that weird lightsaber made me say "What? Really?"
But seeing those X-Wings flying into action? And those Stormtroopers gearing up? I'd be lying if I said that those scenes didn't make me a little hard.

Agreed, it's a crucifix pattern most knight swords had.
Little comment, ever notice how every lightsaber wielding villian has to have some crazy lightsaber?
Darth Maul with his double lightsaber, Dooku with his curved one, and Grevious with 4 sabers, heck, I'm surprised Vader is the only villian who had a regular lightsaber. And if you could the spin-off canon TV series....the Inquistor is up there with his double spin one.

I'm a huge star wars fan so even if it sucks i'll definitely go see that movie, and if you thought that that new light saber was unsafe, there's already way more unsafe sabers in SW
Eh, it seems like more of a hazard to the user than to an opponent. I'm willing to give it a shot though, because it's still league's ahead of certain other inclusions to the Star Wars movies.
They're not the worst movies ever, 1 and 3 are mediocre, 2 is BAD. It's just that they make some dumb decisions that undermine the original trilogy somewhat and they don't really have that Star Wars charm to me.
If you ask me the one with the hand guard is the safest light saber I've ever seen. Just imagine how many poor jedi lost their fingers, and then obviously their lives because of the poor original design.

Like, before the EU got nuked, the fans made a comphrensive timeline with canon from everything, and they had the 'keeper of the Holocron' as they called the person, a LucaArts employee, would look through the timeline to see stuff that had been done or not, and if the new licensed work fit into the canon. So if you wanted to write a Star Wars book, and make it canon, this guy had to approve it, but now that's all erased, as the only canon now is the movies, including the Clone Wars animated movie, and the Clone Wars and Rebels animated TV shows, and I think the Old Republic as well.
Comments
Jurassic World Master Race.
Cool but I think it's gonna be a let down...
Agreed. I didn't like this trailer.
At all.

If Jar Jar doesn't make an appearance it will be horrible!
I guess that's cool and all, but I'd rather see a trailer for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3.
I saw this on JPLegacy. Good Times.
Someone needs to put Star Wars on the shark and Jurassic World on the Mosasaurus and let it eat SW.

You're right, Mr Malcolm.
What was wrong with it? It's not like it was meant to show us much. That's why it's a teaser.
I used to be a little bit of a Star Wars nerd... so I'm actually kind of excited for this.
Some things are better left untouched.
I'm assuming they're insisting it's a teaser because... that's what it is. It was a teaser, and wasn't really meant to show us much of anything. I would personally withhold judgement at this point.
Ok, fine. It's a teaser. But it is a bad one, not factoring in my hate for Star Wars.
And I know I won't like the movie.

"They aren't even good movies!"
-_-.....the original trilogy are good movies......you just don't like them....minority man.
That is what you get for insulting my favorite film of all time. >:(
AND I GREW UP WITH THE PREQUELS!!!
Well, I agree that the old films are better, but they still are only mediocre.
Yeah, I guess, but the prequels are a little worse.
They were already touched....
And it sucked.
If you say so. I personally thought it was fine. I didn't really see it any other way than: "Oh, look, Star Wars is back. Yay."
We're a year out from the movie being released. They're not going to be showing us anything too exciting at this point.
The teaser didn't get me too excited for the most part, and that weird lightsaber made me say "What? Really?"

I think that light saber is inspired somewhat by knight swords.

Yeah, interesting, I think the double lightsaber is the only thing people really remember about Darth Maul, and he looked "mean" ish
As much as i like JP i love star wars more
Most fans would love if Jar Jar isn't in it.

What can I say? I love Star Wars.
"Meanish" is a bit of an understatement considering he comes from a species that look like the distant cousins of Satan on their good days.
They're not the worst movies ever, 1 and 3 are mediocre, 2 is BAD. It's just that they make some dumb decisions that undermine the original trilogy somewhat and they don't really have that Star Wars charm to me.
Yeah, pretty much, and his name in Spanish means Darth BAD.....Wow, George Lucas....just Wow.
That's why he replies on Star Wars nerds to map out his franchis

The Darth names have always been kind of stupid. Most are parts of words associated with evilness and bad vibes, so Maul doesn't really surprise me.
