  • I want both "The Walking Dead Season 3" and "The Wolf Among Us Season 2"

Both of these are awesome series.

  • I don't think a TWD Season 3 is necessary; the reason being that when Season 2 ended I was like 'Ok that's enough, no more'. I know Season 3 is coming out but I want it to focus on either Christa or a new character, Clementine's story is DONE imo. TWAU Season 2 MUST come out as the series has a lot of potential for different storylines and because the main comic is coming to an end in March next year, it'll be the sole source of new Fables stories/characters. COME ON TELLTALE WE NEED A DLC AND A SEASON 2!

  • Nothing truer has ever been said. I've had the same exact feeling as you after finishing Season 2, TWD is getting stale. Although, Telltale most definitely won't abandon their biggest money maker as long as it sales, but I really think right now they should focus on a more unexplored and fresh universe, which TWAU certainly is.

  • Probably TWD S3. I would like to see a sequel to TWAU, but I can live without one. If they decided not to do S3, I'd storm Telltale's office and force them at gunpoint to make the game. ): Wow. That was dark.

  • I just got "The Wolf Among Us" yesterday, and have now finished it (because that was a much better use of a Friday shopping with a bunch of crazy people).

    I LOVE THIS WORLD!!!

I've never been one to spend a lot of time with comics of graphic novels, but I had been shown "Fables" a while back. Finding a game based of this wonderful series was great, and then TellTale's execution... Oh wow, beyond words.

But hey, I love "The Walking Dead". Been playing through the game, huge fan of the show, and really enjoyed what comics I've read. But If I were given the choice, I would prefer to dive back into the world of "Fables".

  • In fairness, TWAU is much better choice because it simply has much more options to expand the universe. Telltale may continue the Faith's case, or do something totally different, like protecting Fabletown from being discovered by mundies or whatever. TWD was great, but I don't think it's gonna get any better, like somebody said already, there's only so much you can do in zombie apocalypse before you're gonna run low on unique ideas. And there's a whole bunch of zombie-themed games out now, Fables is just something fresh in the gaming industry.

  • Walking dead season 3

  • Totally agree.

  • Wolf among us. Even though TWD ws the best game i have ever played it somewhat had an ending while TWAU was never explained and there is SO much potential to make it even better than first season.

    Is Season 2 even confirmed?

  • While I enjoyed both, want sequels to both, and think Telltale is doing a tremendous job of finding their niche and honing their craft, it does seem to me that there are sizeable challenges inherent to telling more prequel stories in the Fable universe. Several plot aspects of TWAU didn't work as well for readers of the comics because they knew ahead of time who would survive the story. I have to wonder if this challenge in particular is why we don't have news of a season 2.

Well, all the people who played TWAU are either in one or the other in the following categories:

    • Read and finished the comics (i.e. up to date) before the game came out
    • Never heard of the comics before, and got into comics after completing TWAU
    • Heard of the game being released, and started reading the comics (doing catch-up) in time for game's release.

When the game was released, I was in the third category (catch-up), and I didn't mind that I knew who survived. I mean for readers of comics, why would they even bother to play TWAU (in the first place) if knowing who survives or not is determinant in their interest in the game? I don't think that's the case. Comic Readers played TWAU because Fables world is so vast with all these quality characters, with all sorts of places and surroundings, and they wanted to be immersed in that environment.

And even (Mr.) Willingham, the creator of Fables gave the Telltale games "Thumbs Up" for doing such a good job (with Season 1).

Only plausible explanation why TWAU season 2 hasn't been announced yet would be, that Telltale currently have their hands full.

    • They've recently launched the first episode of the Tales from the Borderlands couple of days ago, and
    • They're launching their first episode of The Game of Thrones tomorrow,
    • They already announced The Walking Dead Season 3, so that would probably in the concept stage now at least.

Telltale is not a big company (yet), and I think we probably won't get an announcement of TWAU season 2 until we're at least halfway through the season of the Borderlands and Game of Thrones games (though I could be wrong).

I played both of this games (the walking dead and the wolf among us) And for me the wolf among us is having a more exciting content compare with the walking dead , So I would choose to be having the wolf among us compare with the walking dead . Beside of that, the walking dead had already had a season 2,so I think telltale games should be release the wolf among us season 2 before of the walking dead because it doesn't necessary :D

Here's what it took over a week for me to decide:

    • Kenny and Jane both dead= Potential cliffhanger/undesirable outcome for Clementine
    • Kenny alive/stay at Wellington= PERFECT ending!
    • Kenny alive/go with him= Potential cliffhanger...
    • Jane alive/ turn family away AND let family in= Not good endings as Jane is a loose cannon sometimes!

TWD Season 3 better NOT have Clementine in it! I really hope that it focuses on Christa or a new charcter entirely...

  • Aww noo i want Clem, maybe not as protagonist but at least in the last episode when Christa finds her.
Yes staying at Wellingtone is perfect for AJ and Clem but i just cried while talking to Kenny so i couldn't just leave him behind. He is old, damaged ( physically and emotionally) and i wanted to be there for him when he dies, also they said if we come back later they may have space so i was hoping they wait a while and than all of them go to Wellingtone :D Happy ending!!

  • The Wolf Among Us: Season 2

Lee was the driving momentum of The Walking Dead, even into the second season with Clementine basing much of her personality upon his teachings. Without Lee, Season 2 faltered in the smooth transition of the plot, with only Clementine and Kenny being the consistently engaging characters. Sadly, other characters were either mishandled or eliminated before their presence could sink in. That, and the fact that there isn't much room for new story. They've covered survival, zombie hordes, cannibals, sociopaths, and dystopian settlements...not much else to cover in a zombie apocalypse.

The Wolf Among Us, however, has so much potential for plot. We have so many characters to meet that were not in season 1, Bigby remains an interesting lead, and The Adversary remains a potential antagonist (or at least, agents that may work through him). Better yet, Telltale could provide prequel backstories for many of the supporting characters, including the wolf himself.

  • Purely from a narrative standpoint, though, it IS a roadblock. I'm not saying TWAU wasn't fantastic- but I do think telling stories in this prequel space is incredibly tricky- especially those that wish to incorporate any measure of mystery. It's not just that these characters survive- it's also that we know their moral mettle. We could never see Snow, Bigby, Bluebeard, etc actually do anything truly heinous because it would make for repercussions that we know cannot take place. That relegates all of these major characters to investigators and bystanders and puts the onus on writing and developing new characters. It's just a tricky thing- ties a hand behind the writer's back- someone has to have the right vision.

  • Well the challenges/roadblock you're referring to basically applies to all prequels of any medium, not just this game (all movies, book, games, TV shows etc). It's just something that the Telltale writers have to get over/pass through.

And I never said it wasn't a challenge. All I'm saying is it's not the reason Telltale Games hasn't announced TWAU season 2 (I believe Telltale will tackle TWAU season 2 regardless of the challenges since the series is really popular with the Fables comics fans).

Also, (I don't know about you, but) knowing who survives or not, and knowing their moral mettle ahead of the game, well I had no problems with that at all - and I believe this to be the case with majority of TWAU fans (who read the comics beforehand). I mean, if we were worried about that, why would we be playing TWAU at all? We would have just stuck to the comics and not bothered to play it.

Adding to that, we love these characters from the comics, so we wouldn't want to see something which contradicts their comics future self (such as your example of major character doing something heinous) since TWAU is considered to be canon to the Fables universe.

  • I'd like both but if I had to choose, I'd like a TWAU Season 2. I remember when I played it, I had a much harder time with decision making than I did with either season of TWD, and that ending... The ending to TWAU was just such a cliffhanger that I need to know what everybody is asking about the ending.

  • Technically speaking though; while TWAU game is canon to the comics, TWAU comic that is being released will be the REAL canon to the series...

Yeah, all the decisions made in the comics will be canon too - from the comic preview it seems when Bigby first visits Toad's apartment and heads to Woodsman's room, it shows him kicking the door open (game gives option to open door normally or kicking it in). So I doubt "being nice" approach in game will be canon to the comics.

  • The Wolf Among Us. Most because, Season Two of TWD just ended, and we need Bigby Wolf again!

  • Let's be fair though; Bigby WOULD kick the door in as he isn't going to wait for someone to answer it/ it might be locked, so why waste that time when he can just kick it in instead. He can hear voices on the other side!

  • TWD. TWAU is fun, but I'd rather fight zombies than mother goose.

Your comment literally makes no sense. First of all, no one really buys a Telltale game for the fight scenes. Secondly, "mother goose?" Just because Wolf has fairly tales doesn't make it Once Upon a Time.

TWD. TWAU is fun, but I'd rather fight zombies than mother goose.
