Such a difficult decision! (Avatar... Surprising?)
I had an interesting idea for something to hang in my room. It involves having a quote from each of the main characters (or, whichever ones I want to have). I've chosen the ones I plan on using for most all the characters I plan on using, but I'm having a very difficult time choosing which one to use from Uncle Iroh. Go figure!
For Aang I plan on using: When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change.
For Katara I plan on using: No! I will never, ever turn my back on people who need me!
For Toph I plan on using: I'm not looking for anyone's approval. I know who I am.
For Sokka I plan on using: A) That's all I got. It's pretty much my whole identity. Sokka, the meat and sarcasm guy. Or 
Good try, but no.
For Zuko I plan on using: But lately, I've realized I'm free to determine my own destiny.
Iroh, known for his infinite wisdom and acute guidance, has so many to choose from! It's hard to nail down the best. Some of the ones I was considering are as follows:
1) You are not the man you used to be. You are stronger and wiser and freer than you ever used to be.
2) Protection and power are overrated. I think you are very wise to choose happiness and love. There are reasons each of us are born. We have to find those reasons.
3) Pride is not the opposite of shame, but it’s source. True humility is the only antidote to shame.
4) Life happens wherever you are, whether you make it or not.
5) Destiny is a funny thing. You never know how things are going to work out. But if you keep an open mind and an open heart, I promise you will find your own destiny someday.
6) It’s time for you to look inward and start asking yourself the big question: who are you and what do YOU want?
