The Wolf Among Us Season 2 getting further out of reach?

With all the games telltalegames are announcing do you guys feel like TWAU dlc or S2 is getting further and further out of reach? I know I feel like it is.

With TTG working on TFTB, GOT, TWD S3, and Minecraft I feel like we will never get a season 2 of TWAU :'(

TellTale are doing MineCraft? What, explain plz!?

Don't lose hope, considering TellTale have 3 projects to focus on atm and because they aren't a big company, it doesn't mean they have forgotten about TWAU!

  • Honestly, I have lost all hope for TWAU S2. I'm sorry, but it seems like the end of TWAU from here on out.

  • Yeah now we can only pray for dlc. Fucking minecrafts destroyed everything.

Honestly, I have lost all hope for TWAU S2. I'm sorry, but it seems like the end of TWAU from here on out.

  • I just noticed the Minecraft announcement. -cries into pillow-

I'm hoping for at least a DLC but I'm not seeing THIS happen until either next year or 2016. Honestly, I see TWAU ending here. :(

  • Please make The Wolf Among Us Season 2

It doesn't hurt to still dream, but all I feel I can hope for now is a DLC. I just hope that they have one in mind, or else they would have moved this down to the past-Telltale games section this morning when Minecraft got announced.

  • My favorite part was how they were at the playstation expo and said how they loved listening to fans.

Then they completely ignore fans in wanting a Season 2 and make Minecraft, the game not a single person was asking for.

    Come on TellTale.

  • Well, I'm quite sure that Season Two is going to happen (not anytime soon tho), and DLC won't. I did some research and I might post a thread with my arguments in a couple of days, but I'm nearly 100% sure TTG is not done with TWAU. Altho I have to admit, this Minecraft: Story Mode announcement should be nominated to Disappointment of the Year award.

  • I can't fucking believe it. We've been pleading with Telltale for new TWAU content for so long, and I think we've made it crystal clear how we're rooting for this universe and how much would a new something for it matter to us, but Telltale just grins and says "Fuck you" to our faces by announcing a bloody MINECRAFT GAME. Seems like they don't really give two shits about the community's demand, while making a fortune out of under 14 y.o. Minecraft fanbase appears to be their biggest concern.

Oh well, I guess this is the right moment:

I think Telltale should really provide an explanation for the reason why they announced the Minecraft game, but are still not announcing anything for TWAU Season 2, unless they want rioting fans on their doorstep.

I mean don't we make it (crystal) clear on these forums how much we love this universe, and want to see more of it? While I'm still holding onto hope that they will eventually announce Season 2, this Minecraft news has got to be the biggest disappointing news from Telltale I've heard so far.

They should clearly state their position regarding TWAU of whether there are actually plans in place (to make Season 2) or not, instead of just giving out ambiguous answers (i.e. which was what happened when asked about Season 2 by Adam Harrington) and leaving the fans dangling, or worse, making fans give up on Season 2 hopes (which clearly a lot of fans are doing now, after the Minecraft announcement).

What they're doing right now is not cool, and I think fans deserve some sort of explanation - that way, even if they decide not to go ahead with Season 2, fans (who still are hoping they announce Season 2 like me) can just move on.

Everything about what you said is perfect.

Right now I'd be happy if TellTale even said there wont be a Season 2. Just stop leaving us in the dark. Atleast we would know that its over.

Yeah, to be honest, I would be really saddened if they said there will be no more seasons of TWAU, but I would rather have that than have them leave us in the dark for months (even year, in worst case scenario) and telling us then.

If they make us wait for months and end up telling us "Sorry, there's no more TWAU." then I would be really, really, pissed off at Telltale for making me wait that long for nothing.

  • You guys realise Season 2 was never ever confirmed, right?

I was always under the assumption that a second season was very unlikely, because the game is a prequel. Blaming Minecraft for TWAU S2 being delayed is ridiculous, since Telltale might not even be considering a second season of Wolf.

  • I have to say this, I just have to: I like MineCraft as a game, I admit that I don't play it much but it's fun when I get into it, but this Story Mode idea from TellTale is the worst decision both for them and for MineCraft as a series...

Now that I've got that out of the way; TellTale are probably spending weeks and months in their offices thinking 'How the fuck can we continue on from Season 1 and make it good? Or put Bloody Mary in it? Or make some kind of DLC!?'

I'd imagine that trying to write for TWAU is VERY difficult, let's not forget that they announced they would be releasing TWAU (then simply called Fables) in mid-late 2012, but delays upon delays meant it was released in the 4th quarter of 2013, then re-writes happened because the comic creators hated the plot that Episode 1 was going to follow, so TellTale spent 4 months rewriting the story to give us the rest of the Season.

I will continue to WAIT with bated fucking breath for anything related to TWAU, becuase when Fables ends next year, it will be all I have for new official content to the series!

    I'm done.

  • i can see them doing it after they're done with The Walking dead season 3 and Minecraft

  • Minecraft...

It's not just about the fact they're releasing something else instead of what we wanted. It's the whole TTG's tendency to insistently ignore their fandom and it's desires just perturbs the living hell out of me. A huge part of this community is zealous for hearing of anything related to TWAU, no one EVER asked for fucking Minecraft. This is just sad that happiness and boundless gratitude of the fans don't motivate Telltale as much as dolla dolla bill... Please, just keep walking, don't add to our misery.

  • It was already confirmed that Season 2 wouldnt be out until at least 2016 anyways. I read it a month or so ago. But anyways, dont blame minecraft for TWAU not being mentioned, Telltale is just trying to appeal to more people. Dont get me wrong, I absolutely loved TWAU and would love to have season 2 right now but telltale has alot to work on. GOT and TFTBL are fantastic and I think Game of Thrones is the best telltale game ive ever played. So they are just trying to appeal to more people, even if it means making a shitty minecraft game. I cant stand that game whatsoever. But ill still get it because its telltale and every dollar that goes into a game, supports the next.

  • dw if minecraft fails they might learn to actually listen to their fans

I am going to take a guess and say that they are referring to this kdramastars article which is completely fake and with no source. If you type "kdramastars" into Google it suggests "kdramastars clickbait" and "kdramastars fake" so it seems they are notorious for posting fake information and they have posted fake information about Telltale in the past.

@E2Saint Don't believe any information unless it comes directly from Telltale via their Twitter, Facebook or Blog

  • It has zero oppurtunity, there is nothing to Minecraft other than build shit. There is nothing for Telltale to work with, but it doesn't matter to them, because it' just going to make them a ton of money from the 9 year old fans of this game. And as long as there are separate teams and you don't have a large number of people working on both games, than I don't care. That's a reason why S2 struggled in some areas, it was the abundance of people working on both games, like Shorette and Stirpe.

Welp, it's Russian for "comrade", but it might as well be interpreted as "friend" or "mate", so you're partly correct. Just wanted it to sound stereotypical, lol. None taken, it is pretty confusing, I suppose. Writing in Russian is indeed very hard due to lots of grammar it has. Perfect knowledge of it is not easy to achieve even for native Russian-speakers, so it's not surprising that people find this language extremely difficult to learn.

Gah, we went off topic again. XD

Is it really that hard? Now I know why Telltale simply said "Speaking Russian" in The Walking Dead.
