Is it safe to say that all hope is lost for a Season 2?

  • Let me ask these questions:
How long did it take TellTale to announce a Season 2 for TWD?
How long did it take them to announce 400 Days?

  • Season 2 was announced in July, 2012, which was shortly after the release of the second episode Starved for Help and 400 Days was announced in June, 2013 I believe, 7 months after the completion of the first season.

Ok, so considering that the DLC took 7 months to announce, is it too much to consider that with 2 games in progress and 2 in development that TellTale are keeping TWAU Season 2 quiet until they don't have as much on their plate? I'm keeping my hopes up for a Season 2 becuase it would be stupid for TellTale to just abandon it the way it is.

Of course if TellTale actually listened to their fans like they say they do, they WOULDN'T be making a MineCraft game and they would be ANNOUNCING TWAU Season 2/DLC already!!!!!

  • I know. I wanna read the comics, but I'm not allowed. ;(

Damn dude, you're missing out on a great game and an even greater comic series...

  • Well, when you're about 17 you'll be allowed to read them legally, and by then the series will be finished and you won't have to wait around for the next issue like we are right now :)

  • Well after the stupid Minecraft announcement, I'm not so sure. :-/

  • If Telltale listened to their fans, The Walking Dead wouldn't have happened, and we would have got a fourth Sam & Max season instead. Frankly, the fans don't know what's best.

  • Maybe after each of those games are finished, they'll do a Season 2. Who knows?

  • I think its a way to bring in new players. If you think about it, its really smart! Bring in new players who will fall in love with the style and play previous games TTG released, once they've drawn in the new players and given them a chance to see what they (TTG) can do, maybe then they'll release the MUCH anticipated WAU season 2? I may be wrong but i hope I'm right!

I think it's bs that they announced minecraft, but not TWAU S2. I would rather they make a season 2 instead Of minecraft or TWD s3 (I love TWD, but damn it it's had it's time in the spotlight)

  • I agree with it being bullshit, but I have to disagree on TWD part, but I respect your opinion.

  • I lost all the hopes when Mineshit was announced. 2015 Will be about GOT and TFTB and 2016 Minecraft and TWD... I don't think they will release TWAU Season 2 after 4 years. But the game is continuing in the new comics, don't is? Anyway, when Mineshit comes, we still will have TWD :3

  • I agree that TWD doesn't need a Season 3. BUT I will love Season 3 more if it focuses on Christa or a new character, if it focuses on Clementine then I will be disappointed. Clem's story is finished imo, Season 2 had about 7 different endings (2 for Clem/Jane, 2 for Clem/Kenny and 3 for Clem alone, in that Jane and Kenny can both be dead or 1 will be alive but left alone)

    • Five endings, the alone ending is just one, the way what it happens it's different.

Clem's story finished? I don't think. And another thing, what the hell? Why people think put another character on the game is the correct? I mean, what you guys want? The outbreak begins again? The game will never ends? Christa is dead, face it. Clementine story isn't finished yet.

  • If they continue with Clem then they will need to introduce completely new characters; it will be too much to tailor Season 3 to multiple endings and whoever survived Season 2. Christa's fate is unknown so you saying she is dead is an opinion, not fact.

What? No. The new comics is just a spinoff about the events that happen in the game. If you're talking about the main FABLES series, they tell completely different stories and they take place 20 years after the events of TWAU.

It's fact, people just don't want to see. She died off-screen, so people be like: '' Oh my God, she is dead or alive? ''... but you can hear the shot and everything... just face it.

If Telltale do it with wisely ( Unlike the show, because Jesus... ), for me, whatever.

It was a most beautiful way to speak, just that xD. But it's true, no matter what you do ( Run or help Christa ) you hear a murmur of pain and then you hear a shot.

What do you mean by that?

Remember when Kenny runs into the horde of Walkers when he goes to save Ben? You hear him struggling and then hear silence, some ppl thought he was dead and others thought he was alive, just like with Christa, it's an opinion.

Well, S3 will be released next year, probably at the end of the year... Meanwhile, we will not know. But I'm sure if Christa appear and be the protagonist, Clementine will still appear in the game because Kirkman in a playing Dead said a lot of things about Clementine, so that she means will appear as important character or protagonist.

  • Well, I do know for certain that I need at least one more season of TWAU and I have my own reasons for it. A Minecraft game, no matter how good it would possibly be (and it likely won't be), will not reason me out of wanting a TWAU S2. It's a fundamental truth and can't be even argued.

  • No disrespect to you in any way, but that's what most people thought about Kenny (a lot of ppl thought he was dead) at the end of TWD Season 1. But he was alive in Season 2.

The fact is, as long as any character (especially in TWD it seems) isn't faced with a determinant death situation (i.e. character's death or living depends on the player's choice), then even if that character seems like facing death off-screen (like Kenny in Season 1, and in Season 2 Christa), then there's a big chance Telltale may bring back the character.

  • You're entitled to wanting S2. I never said otherwise. I was just making the point that just because fans demand something, doesn't mean Telltale should listen. They should take fans into account, but not to the detriment of their work. They're the ones with years of experience.

  • Years of experience is fair enough; but the fans know what they want and the developers should listen to the ppl that buy their product instead of thinking "THIS WILL BE A SPLENDID IDEA!" and making a game that NOBODY asked for!

I'm looking at you MineCraft Story Mode.

  • Again, The Walking Dead would never have happened if that was Telltale's mindset.

Once you buy a game from Telltale, the contract is over. They're under no obligation to listen to their customers after they've provided them with a full season. My suspicion is that most people crying foul will end up buying Minecraft if it turns out to be good (which is likely, given Telltale's recent track record). If they don't, no big deal. Telltale will get even more new fans to replace the old ones.
