How is this even a question, obviously Bigby. The fact that he's a video game character aside, scientifically speaking, he possesses all the… more traits that females are naturally and instinctively attracted to in a male. He epitomizes primal masculinity, he's extremely confident in himself, he kicks everyone's ass who dares oppose him in the game, he protects what is his, and he dominates the alpha male title. The man is pure badass, and doesn't take shit from anyone. As for physical traits..have you seen the man's design? The Big Bad Wolf utterly demolishes Luke when it comes to attractiveness imho.
I'm not talking about yours or anyone else's personal preferences. That has nothing to do with my post. Stripped down to strictly natural instincts, a female is attracted to the strongest and most dominant male that is able to protect the female and offspring from harm. This is scientifically proven, everyone knows this. But that's not to say that women can't be attracted to other types of men, or hold them in higher regard due to personal preferences.

um
I didn't know you spoke for all women and know what they like. You should join the X-Men with that super power you've got going on there.

Stripped down to strictly natural instincts, a female is attracted to the strongest and most dominant male that is able to protect the female and offspring from harm.
I didn't know women were wild animals. Hmph.
This is scientifically proven, everyone knows this.
Clearly not. Unless you've got evidence and stats to back it up, saying it's scientifically proven doesn't make it scientifically proven.
That's not to say that women can't be attracted to other types of men, or hold them in higher regard due to personal preferences.
That... doesn't make sense with what you've been saying? what?
I'm not talking about yours or anyone else's personal preferences. That has nothing to do with my post. And? I'm also a female. I never said anything about personal preferences in my initial post. I listed valid reasons why I believe the traits Bigby possesses would be more attractive to females instinctively. Meaning in a primal sense which doesn't include conscious thought, it's physically fueled. I blatantly said this isn't including personal preferences.
Your comprehension skills seem to be lacking. It is clear to see that I said stripped of everything but natural instincts that these are the traits that are considered most important (ie; In the animal sense, a male being able to efficiently protect their mate and young from potential predators, establishing dominance as strongest male among fellow males, which females find attractive because it means that they're passing along the "best genes" to their offspring etc. If us humans only functioned on natural instinct and nothing else, this is all females would care about when it comes to finding a suitable mate) therefore most attractive to a female. As I told you before, personal preference can change what you find attractive in a man, and you're entitled to that. But that doesn't negate the fact that these primal instincts lurk in all of us, and those instincts are very strong in the physical sense.
I know you go to school, and have taken science classes before. There shouldn't be any need for me to educate you on this matter. At least, I would hope not.
What aren't you understanding? Personal preferences aside, these are traits females are naturally attracted to in a male. With personal preferences, what a female finds attractive in a male can change and thus certain traits are considered more important uniquely to each female. Because of this, most females have a "type", so they are attracted to different kinds of males. But buried deep down, females do in fact have a natural and instinctive inclination towards the strongest and most capable male. Just as males have a natural and instinctive inclination towards females who are curvier and have larger hips because that means she is more likely able to bear healthy children. It's not that difficult of a concept, and frankly it's baffling to me that you're taking such offense to my post.
I'm not talking about yours or anyone else's personal preferences.
Well, I am a female, and you declared it for all females, so, yea… moreh. You are talking about my personal preferences.

Science classes (in Australia, at least) don't talk about preferential, or in this case, 'instinct' on what a woman looks for in a man. That's not needed since they know everyone's different. And please, spare me the education.

You see, I've never heard anyone say that unless they were a commentator on Animal Planet. This is the first I'm hearing about this, nor have I ever seen any articles on it ever. So telling me that it's 'instinct' to look for a strong, brave male, is just confusing. How can you put aside preference when their preference is their natural instinct? Girls don't think "Oh, I want a nerdy, soft guy but really I want a strong guy." That makes no sense whatsoever.
frankly it's baffling to me that you're taking such offense to my post.
I took offense to it because to me, it seemed like you were saying that all girls look for one type of male. If that was the case, the guys in my class that 'lift' would have plenty of girlfriends when they show off during break. (And no, I'm not saying that's the only type of guy out there. You're honestly thinking too hard about this. I am comparing the primitive instincts of humans to that of animal instincts, because when we're stripped of conscious thought we are essentially animals. In our purest form, we value survival, protection, sustenance, shelter, family(or our "pack" if you will) above all else. Even with all the factors that obviously separate us from animals, the instinctual basis is quite similar. This is a common subject covered in science class. Now our more primal instincts are dulled due to our intelligence and leisurely environment, but they are still there. They often arise subconsciously when looking for a potential mate, they don't necessarily dictate who you choose, but they do play a part. Apply critical thinking, and one can see in a hypothetical situation that if we functioned purely on instinct, we would be extremely attracted to the alpha male type.
Personal preference requires conscious thought. You have to be able to actively discern what you find attractive, and what you don't in order to develop a clear preference to something or someone. So no, personal preference is not the same as natural instinct. It's kinda sad that you don't know this.
I wasn't implying that women are only interested in one type of man. I was explaining why I think the type of man Bigby's character is portrayed as would be more attractive to the primal instinct within women. I've sincerely tried to simplify and dumb down this explanation as much as I can, if you still don't understand, there isn't much I can do for you. I've also repeated myself several times, and I loathe doing that since I don't have much patience for people who fail/refuse to see things from a logical standpoint. I think you are taking this too personally tbh.:/

I am comparing the primitive instincts of humans to that of animalistic instincts, because when we're stripped of conscious thought we are essentially animals.
Okay, but we're not animals. How exactly, in this context, are we stripped of our consciousness? Sure, like you said, the basis is similar, but the instinct in a woman isn't "find a strong, brave, capable man". Some woman's instincts are to fend for themselves, and do things on their own. Whether that be working while the husband (or wife depending on your sexuality) stays home and takes care of the kids, or buying your own house with your well earned money. And sometimes this can lead to that kind of thinking due to the environment they grow up in. We are not brain dead, stripped of our ways animals. We are human beings with similarities to animals, that's all we'll be unless all hell broke loose.
This is a common subject covered in science class.
I don't know where you're from, but it's never been spoken of at any of the schools I've been to. Or hardly any schools in Australia for that matter.
Personal preference requires conscious thought. You have to be able to actively discern what you find attractive, and what you don't, to develop a clear preference to something or someone.
And instinct isn't? Instinct looks like it needs thought depending on the situation. Some women look at it like; "If I'm going to raise kids in a safe, healthy environment, I might want to look for a wealthy, strong, capable man." And some don't. Like I said, it's the matter of what kind of place you grow up in. If girls grow up in a household where being independent is a good thing, as it should be, then that would be their instinct. To get on their feet before looking for a man and starting a family.
I wasn't implying that women are only interested in one type of man. I was explaining why I think the type of man Bigby's character is portrayed as would be more attractive to the primal nature within women.
Again, it depends on the environment you grow up in and the way you're taught to look at men and life.
I think you are taking this too personally.:/
You basically said that women naturally look for a type of man, in which that's what Bigby represents. You saying "he possesses all the traits that females are naturally and instinctively attracted to in a male" is completely based on what you think, not what other women think. If you look for what Bigby has in a guy, then that's great. Fine by all means. But don't pass it off as if it's a fact that it's a woman's instinct to look for men like that.
I am taking it personally. Because I don't like to be spoken for, and I don't like women being based on what you think their 'natural instincts' is. I can tell you that my, and a lot of other women's instinct is certainly not that.

You are completely missing the point of the comparison. It is because we share similarities with animals, specifically instincts in the case I'm addressing, is why the parallels are valid. Its called critical thinking. There have been several studies which elaborate on the many behaviors humans share with animals. This includes the similarities between female and male mating patterns. Seriously, you have got to know this, how can you not know this?
If you actually knew and understood the definition of "instinct" you would know it requires no conscious thinking. It's an automatic and spontaneous response.
You really do excel at misinterpreting things and blowing them out of proportion.
You are definitely taking this not only too personally, but way too seriously. Try not to react so emotionally when you're approached with a foreign concept you don't understand. This has just escalated beyond ridiculous at this point.
