Alternate reality timeline for season 2?
If canon would be a big hurdle for Telltale to overcome in season 2, could an alternate timeline in the games be established that could divert from the comic books?
J.J. Abrams's STAR TREK and the upcoming TERMINATOR: GENISYS have already touched on this idea, but THE WOLF AMONG US could take it to the next level. Let's suppose the Adversary was to attempt some kind of time travel scheme to prevent his removal from power by the Fables. What if the focal point of the Adversary's attack on the past wasn't someone like Bigby or Snow White, but a seemingly unimportant character such as Colin?
Through the Adversary's machinations, Colin could survive his original fate in FABLES #6, setting in motion an entirely new series of events designed to keep the Adversary in power, while allowing the game developers to divert from the "mainstream" FABLES timeline. Just a thought, guys. Please don't bite my head off.

I would like at least one Season of TWAU to be non-canon with Fables; therefore we can do things that go against comic canon.
We could kill or maim anyone, we could alienate or befriend anyone; we could do a lot more in general...
I could see them doing something that would be "non-cannon" but at the end of ep 5 Bigby does something that sets everything back to Cannon or something idk
Kinda like Time Travel with Magic???
To me that sounds like an idea of what you are saying, but putting time travel in the series will bring up A LOT of unwanted questions for Willingham...
Plz elaborate Poogers
Well, say the main bad guy has such major effects that he can change the cannon, example Fables being killed who are not dead in the comic. If they did something like this and had it "non-cannon" and then get to the climax where Bigby can find a way to get go back before the main bad guy does all this and stops him, but by doing this everything that happened until Fables 1 would still happen and all the non-cannon things that happened would go back to the cannon and not be changed, so time travel I guess :P
It really is my only idea for TellTale to have freedom over all of Fables and then being able to keep it cannon ;-;
But time travel is a controversial thing to introduce... If Bigby found a way then why not someone else. Loads of things in the comics could be changed with time travel.
It's like Hermione's time turner in Harry Potter; she never uses it after Prisoner of Azkaban. Why? It's simply because the author chose not to use it thereafter...
I thought that was a terrible decision on J.K Rowling's part; you can't just omit something like that from a series by simply ignoring it from then on...
yeah, maybe if they found some Time Travel Fable guy , and then he died so hes gone ? :P
... It could work.
It's just that if there is one, who's to say there aren't more? Also can you think of any literary/folktale/mythic/legendary characters who are not only capable of time travel, but would actually fit into the world of Fables???
I will opnely admit that I like the idea, but i'm trying to think of what else will be said...
