They should have had a burial for Lee.
It would have been a better opener for it and it would have set the tone for it better than Omid's death. It would have given Clementine closure and she couldn't have been that far from where he died if she walked.

Yeah but I doubt Clementine could even emotionally handle going back to Savannah, a place where not only Lee died, but her parents died. Not to mention that Christa says how she's done with cities, I doubt she and Omid would want to risk their lives to go into a walker infested city just to bury a guy they had just met a few days ago.
It was more about her. They loved her to some extent Christa wouldn't have took care of her for two years if dhe hadn't
Not really
A burial for Lee, and not Clementine's actual dead parents?
They were among a horde no getting to them.
So was Lee? Savannah was swamped. The very fact Clementine even got out is a miracle in and of itself.
Lee was in a safe location. She managed to get out easy enough.
We're digressing. My point is that I don't get why Lee deserves a burial when no one else in the game got one.
The point of his death was to tell the player that he's not special, even if we thought he was because we played as him.
Carley or Doug- No tome for a burial as Lee said
Chuck- Died in a sewer
Larry- Lily never asked for a burial
Mark- Reanimated as a walker
Katjaa and Duck- Kenny never requested one
Ben- Surrounded by walkers in an alley way
Brie- Same situation as Ben
And Lee died in a store, handcuffed, in the middle of a walker-infested city.
But the logistics of whether or not it could happened isn't my point. It's the fact that there are no burials in the apocalypse and that death has become so devastatingly frequent that there's no time for rituals.
God damn i forgot brie even existed holy shit
That's how I feel about most of the characters in that episode, even Molly.
My Lee is walking among the dead in Savannah, so a burial isn't happening.
I really doubt any of our Lee's are walking
Hey there was No Time Left.
That was punny.
He means he is a walker
@supersagig is right about what I said, my Lee is a walker.
um
no
Do you realize how cheesy that is?
It's tragic that Lee's corpse is left to rot in a jewelry store, forgotten by everyone but a lonely little girl. And it should remain that way. Doing things according to society's rules is just lame.
Just like how Telltale tried to give Kenny multiple epiphanies and encourage Clementine to kill him, regardless of how illogical that actually is. They apparently thought it'd be "sad" if Kenny was totally cool with having Clem kill him, even though it's both more realistic AND tragic if he wasn't understanding.
If anyone can handle visiting a place like Savannah then it would be Clem, cause she's a pretty strong girl, she didn't survive all this long for nothing.
And why? For what reason? Other than 'feels'?
Uh I know what you mean but he's connected to a heater via handcuffs.
You do realize that you don't have to handcuff him?
For any reason.
I didn't. Either way he isn't walking that far
brb wading through a zombie-infested city multiple times to retrieve the rotting corpse of a full-grown man just to plant him in some dirt
If that's the way you see things
Oh sorry, did I just ruin this 'realistic' zombie story by being realistic?
Two years have passed, I think he could get that far.
He's still stuck in Savannah with the rest of the herd. Not to mention, the Lee I know is one-armed, has a huge hole in his skull, and most likely had to tear off his other arm to leave the radiator.
I'm fucking glad the writers didn't cop out and have a Lee zombie show up.
Zombie Lee showing up would have been the dumbest thing the writers could do. Hell, I think the dream sequence was dumb as fuck.
I didn't say the reason was to give Lee a burial. I didn't even think about that. What if she runs into Savannah while she is travelling around so much.
There are plenty of bull shit moments in TWD none of them you've addressed so far.
I agree they just needed a call back to S1 for emotional value prior to the climax.
Because they're not relevant to this thread.
There isn't any reason from a good writer's perspective. We need to explore new territory, not try to extract any more memories from Season 1- the well's long since run dry.
It's why I wish Season 2 ended with Clem going to Wellington rather than going everywhere.
Um did you forget how many call backs Season 2 made to Season 1. It seems like you're being ignorant of the obvious.
Christa didn't love Clementine, she liked her i'm sure until the point that Omid was still alive, but then after he died it became probably pretty bad to live with her. Could you imagine dealing with a pregnant woman, who just lost her husband; and she thinks its your fault.
Then she loses the baby... I am sure she blamed Clementine too.
If anyone should of been buried it should of been Katja and her son. Even if we hate Kenny, duck didn't do anything.
