The Town
What happened to the town that Clementine saw in episode 4? They said they will go to the town but after the 1 day or couple days timeskip it they never even mentioned it... I guess it was supposed to be either the place for the shootout or the resting at the campfire but it was written out..

Because why go to a town that you know where it is, when you can follow some Russian kid who's group you just killed? amirit?
It obviously burnt down over night
Nick Breckon be all like "no J.T. Petty, everything you did was wrong!" lol
Serious answer: The majority of the group agreed to follow Arvo after he said that he would lead him to his base with the promise of food and shelter. We all did not realize that the place was very far away and hardly had any supplies. Perhaps Arvo planned to escape from Clem's group in the time traveled with them (it's what I would do). Also I was thinking that the Russian group was planning to rob Clem's group, take all their stuff, including Parker's Run.
While I agree with the idea of "okay, maybe Arvo has something closer than the town, so let's follow him", they could have at least made some reference to it
Another thing: Kenny and Jane say they've been driving for hours. They're on the side of the river the town is on, so why didn't they attempt to drive past it at least? Or make some mention of it like "we tried going to that town, but it was jam packed with walkers"?
They magically forgot about it because...plot.
I know, it seems ridiculous not to mention it at any point in the game. Only logical conclusion to make of this is that the writer for episode 5 just didn't want anything to do with that town. Possibly due to this plot point could interfere with what he had in mind. The player hears anybody mentioning the town Clem spotted and the player would be screaming at the T.V./monitor saying "I want to choose the town!"
The game forgot how to plot.
Oh this thread again? The town sounded interesting, maybe Luke could have shown us his roof jumping skills
. Then all of a sudden it was forgotten about, I even forgot about it until I came on the forums :P. But here's a more realistic idea of what the group were thinking:
End of episode 4: 'We have to get to that town before nightfall!'
Start of episode 5: 'Let's go with the kid that just tried to steal our stuff and nearly got us killed! Because that's totally a smart idea!!!!'
For the sake of the plot I guess.
I actually went there and "Took Care" of it MUAHAHAHAHA
The town, the town!
Wherefore art thou town!?
I know right, if we all went to the town, Luke would be alive. Too soon?
Pointless to look for a logical explanation, it was no longer needed in E5. Minute of silence for that poor church.

You realise who you're talking to right? Lilacsbloom will always find Luke jokes too soon. :P
ಠ益ಠ...
Did I ever tell you, Luke's death sucked?
Yeah, I don't think anyone could defend that. Massive writing oversight.
No wait let me try...well...um...ya see...hey look Arvo said something about food!
Haha, today few people admired plotline of season 2. I say, it's very CHAOTIC. I didn't know what the plan was; Clem and group were thrown like a baseball from one place to another. Christa and bandits -> cabin -> ski resort -> Carver's mall -> museum -> town? -> the place Arvo knows. Finally, second half of ep. 5, Kenny says - Wellington, Jane says - go back. THE END.
"Oh no
guys
guys
we accidentally the town"

You've mentioned it once or twice, maybe three times at the most.
What about...sextuple?
Also how come nobody mentions the town after getting to the house, when deciding where to go next? o_o
Mysterious plot majyyks gave everybody amnesia.
Because...plot.
Eh, they probably would have found a way to kill him off in or on the way to the town.
