Better Call Saul.

So who saw the premier? what are your thoughts??

that ending though lol

  • I did! I thought it was going to be 'meh' at first, but I'm glad I was wrong about that - so, so wrong, lol.

Anyway, it was amazing no doubt. Can't wait to watch the rest of the premiere that's going to air tomorrow night, apparently.

  • It was absolutely brilliant. Cinematography was the best part IMO, with beautiful shots, and bright colours. Acting was superb, and I enjoyed every minute of it (especially the last ten minutes), and I will admit, I started freading out when that ending came along. It was very Breaking Bad-esque, while also keeping its own identity. Bob is fantastic in the leading role, and this show has my complete trust after this excellent pilot.

First episode started off really boring, but then the second half was really good, I loved the reveal of a certain crazy Mexican guy and the second episode I really liked. I loved the way they filmed it and I loved some of the comedic elements with Saul especially with Mike and the desert negotiation was so tense and well done. Better Call Saul is definitely off to a fantastic start.

    Ratings for first two episodes:

    Episode 1: 8.5/10

    Episode 2: 9.5/10

  • 7.8/10 - Too many lawyers

I really enjoyed the pacing of the show, and hopefully we'll see some more flash forwards, even though Saul's getting those false positives. I wonder what other things we'll see post-Walter White.
Also sad to see Mike back, knowing what happened to him, but such is the tragedy of a life like his, if he's still doing his thing while working the booth, anyway. And I was hoping Lydia would be in there somewhere, as I was always curious to know how someone like her got into that particular line of work.
So far, a solid base for a story with realistic outcomes (i.e. unintended consequences) is beginning to form into another good tale from Saul's perspective. And what about that lawyer, Kim? Looks like a lot of trouble there, not to mention the "collection" of that million and a half. 11 episodes, though, definitely not enough.

I think it was a reference to when IGN gave Pokemon Alpha Saphire a 7.8 because there was "too much water"

  • You shouldn't be sad about Mike. You really need to be happy that he at least gets some more screen time and character development
