TWD, ever since Frank Darabont was thrown to the dogs with no gratitude whatsoever, the show went downhill, season 2 was complete and utter bullshit, season 3 was alright & the first half of season 4 was alright as well, but ever since then I feel it's extreme decrease in quality from all perspectives, maybe it's just me.

To learn more about the money-grabbing cunts that are AMC, watch this video, start at 11:55 if you want to get to the juicy details, or watch everything if you want a good laugh:

And it's mostly due to financial decisions made by AMC (AKA them firing Darabont's ass and replacing him with a shitty director like Glenn Mazzara, it's a shame :/)

  • Dexter, and Pulp Fiction.

  • Yes, but then they sacked Mazzara after Season 3 and made Scott M. Gimple showrunner, and under his leadership for the past two seasons, in my opinion, the show has gotten MUCH better. I thought Season 4 was the best season since Season 1 and Season 5 is even better than 4 so far. Not to mention, he's written some of the shows best and most acclaimed episodes like Clear, A, The Grove, and No Sanctuary.

I think season 4 was good (at least the first half), but I feel like season 5 had gotten a little boring and poorly written in a way where everything they say sounds cliche as hell and it's like I can rehearse the dialogue a mile away and know how every character is going to react to every event, death, or conflict. To me, it feels like they're in a loop of fighting groups of "crazy people" over and over again, saying "this is how it is now hyuk hyuk!", leaving dead groups behind, and it's getting quite stale.

Not to mention the buzzkill that is Rick delivering a line that was supposed to be badass not like it was in the comics, as if the word "fuck" is going to make the show not family-friendly, while a tremendous amount of gore didn't finish the job.

Instead of doing the stupid shit with Terminus (not to mention the useless hospital Beth was taken into, that one was never in the comics and I found it extremely useless being just another plot device to kill Beth off) they should've just followed how the comics went and quickly get to Alexandria, I think it might get better then, but I don't know. If they ruin Negan's character and not let him cuss the way he does in the comics, I might just drop the show, because I feel like they're slowly veering away completely from the comics and just do whatever the fuck they want, something Frank Darabont would never have done. I really don't see any relation to the show's plot and the comics' plot by now.

I don't think it is, and it's mostly due to AMC's greedy nature, expecting Frank Darabont to give them 12 episodes instead of 6 while cutting the budget in almost half, all to be the greedy money-grabbing whores they are.

The only reason AMC can grab the show by the balls is that unlike Mad Men and Breaking Bad, who are co-owned by Sony and Lionsgate, The Walking Dead is the only show AMC owns completely.. It's their way or the highway, as it was for Darabont.

    cough CDC cough

And concerning the fucking and screwing with the wrong people, the writers did want to have him say fucking, but stupid AMC forced them to go with screwing, there is even video of Andrew Lincoln doing the fucking version, and that's what they used on the DVD/Blu-ray version of Season 4.

I know he veered away from the source material, but not completely, he never went to the extremes like they do right now, where half the cast are people who either died or never showed up in the comics, and been to many places that were never in the comics, either.

That's nice there's a DVD version, I'm happy seeing it as it should have been, but I'm not going to give AMC the benefit of making me waste my money for their shit every time they put restrictions on the show. They fucked up, and they're probably going to do the same with Negan :/

  • Definitely Breaking Bad. I think it's a good show and all, but I think it's HIGHLY overrated. There are way too many slow episodes that don't advance the plot and a lot of VERY boring scenes. The last season was absolutely phenomenal, but I don't see how that show gets as much praise as it does.

My friends always harp about Television, they can't believe i don't like Breaking bad, or Game of Thrones. I've never seen either television show, i feel like just not something i would be interested in. I like weird Television like Homicide Hunter or Dr Phil. I love Dr Phil, i watch it for humor.

Yes, which I even said in my original comment: It's my opinion. Why did you feel the need to tell me it was wrong, when it's just a TV show (that I DO enjoy, I just don't think it's the best TV show ever)?

  • There's a few, mainly The Walking Dead TV series. Seems too repetitive for my liking.

My sister also went ahead and ruined both Sherlock and Doctor Who for me.

  • Besides TWD, I haven't been able to get into Arrow or Madmen. I don't care about McQueen much and he fighting guys with automatic weapons bother me more with this show than any other show/movie. Madmen has not been able to hold my interest, even though I have the 1st 4 seasons burned on disc.

  • Am I the only one that love the fucking CDC in the show?? i dont think that was bad idk why people hate it. but yeah the show seems to take really a lot of time to get somewhere. i mean i know that the comics is the source, and to me the show its at its best when they really follow the comics, but still i mean to mee it seems like they really are moving too fast i mean what happens of they at some point cathc up to the comics?? i mean some people are already wanting negan to appear at the end of this season or next and im like fuck no it has to be at least until 7th or like season 4 where they reach the terminus and continue into the next season(which would be the seventh). and i am completely with you there. im scared of them putting negan in the show cuz of them completely destroying the character. i mean thats negan, ha i mean thats what makes goddamn negan, there is no other way they make us believe or buy into negan with out his colorfulness. i think that they should work something out with AMC to up the Rating or whatever its called, or move it later cuz that shit aint even a kids show anyways. i mean all that gore but no a couple of cuss words will completely damage someone huh???
