gaming is a f****** mess and why is it so hard to love gaming comunity and my place in it
Hi i'm new here and this is my first thread and its not gonna be pretty. One the things i have noticed that gaming has become quite unpleasant place say a least. Many prominant figures have left the indestry because of harassment, many elitists hate new comers, conservatives use it to push their own agendas (milo), homophobia is almost everywhere Example many times in games gay characters are the punchline (har har that character is havin sex with the other guy lol), transphobia is runing alltime high (not suprising because they are getting killed this very moment), and finally there is sexism oh that can of worms i'm not gonna open. Basically comunity in general is awful it is getting better although very slowly. Gaming is going through growing pains and its new found responsibilities are hard to handle because its considered art now and deals with criticism it never dealt before atleast not same extense it is now. this is why i feel conflicted about my place In gaming comunity. Am i welcome in it because i don't fit in binary gender even though i played games sense i was five or am i invader of elite 12 year old space?

Where is there transphobia? I personally don't know of any games that even comment on transgender people.
If you mean the community itself being transphobic, it's like any other place. Some people are more open and accepting, and others are more judgmental and close-minded. It's the exact same on this forum too.
