someone has probably already written this but if I had to take a guess I would say that the north grove is an object beyond the wall(hence Gareds story) that is either the source of the Forresters success in harvesting the forrest or the source of the survival of all ironwood.
I think it's a place beyond the wall where the source of Ironwood is, guarded by friendly wildlings who made a alliance with Gregor and Duncan back in the day.
I don't think this has to do with ironwood , how gregor forrester could have known that his house would have so much trouble with the ironwood or perhaps the north grove is something that makes trees alive like in lotr or narnia universe, i think this could be it , whitehills will try to cut the trees but the trees will strangle them with their roots or do something more psychological to them , that would be cool to see ...looking foward to it
I doubt its trees coming to life and strangling people...
And Gregor knows that Ironwood is a very important part of Ironrath and House Forrester in general. He probably knew by then that the North had obviously lost the war and that the Ironwood would be a sole part in their survival by giving it to the right allies, and that they would need a lot of it. Hence, finding the North Grove AKA a stash of Ironwood

It's the first mysterious thing the game hints at, and with the directive from your Lord that it's important and not to tell Anyone and the options to tell almost Everyone.....
Along with The North Grove's mythical status (according to Old Nan via Jon Snow),
I think it's safe to say there's something there to have a care about.
Don't bother. If I remember correctly, the guy was banned for pointless instigations of hate toward the game and Telltale in general. Nothing they did would make him happy.
Really? No reason at all?

They tend to sneak into this forum now and again, but the mods here kick em out every time. And you know the sad part of all that is? The trolls have nothing else to do because they're such sad and cowardly haters.

well i don't think it's a secret stash of ironwood neither, when you talk about the north grove to jon snow or forstfinger, they think it's myth or a legend , jon snow thinks it's a joke when you tell him about it and frostfinger compare it to the children of the forrest , that would be lame putting all that plot just for a secret stash of ironwood .It must be something more magical
I doubt its trees coming to life and strangling people...

It most certainly is north of the wall, they say it's a wildling myth and stuff like that. Oh and Duncan says that it will help them protect it if Gared becomes a ranger. What it is though I have no clue about, but for it to be vital too house Forrester (as said by Gregor in his ast moments) it seems incredibly unlogical for it to be norther than the north. I mean, how could something they can't get to be so vital to them?
Trees coming to life is nothing we will see in Game of Thrones, I am 100% sure 'bout that. But if they do I will get very dissapointed in telltale for making it and GRRM for agreeing with it.

I'm pretty sure that's not the case. And why? Well let's look at it with a dash of logic, house Forrester is not a thousands of years old house which makes it very unlikely for them to have an alliance with the children that are believed extinct since the Andals arrival, especially since not even the Starks know about their survival and they've been around since before the Andals invaded Westeros. So for the Forresters to have an alliance with them is next too impossible. Though I must admit, it's a very interesting plot.
Magic is slowly returning to Westeros. Maybe the North Grove is connected to the Children of the Forest? Some long-standing pact or understa… morending between the surviving Children of the Forest and the ancestors of House Forrester in observation of some future appointed time?
I'm not suggesting that Forrester and the Children are still in contact, just merely cut off for secrecy and convenience's sake. It's not looked upon favorably to find friends among your enemies and maintain ties with them, especially when they're magical in nature. Magic in Westeros is near-absent, and even then known and feared almost to the point of hatred.
I agree with Dave. It is a secret stash of Ironwood. So when Asher starts mixing it up, and the Whitehills burn it down in retaliation. The … moreIronwood will live on. Iron from Ice. Blood is shed, lives are lost, but the family and the business will live on.
Iron from Ice.
Thank you. Maybe its connected to an independent group of wildlings who cultivate and protect the grove a la "forest rangers" trope. Part of the reason why the Forresters apparently join up with Stannis against the wildling army?

Definitely in Wildling territory. Definitely not anything that's of consequence for any of the TV show characters and events. Since it's a big enough deal that there's a myth about it it's more than just ironwood itself, so I agree it could be the seedlings to re-forest barren land (something the Whitehills would love to get their hands on no doubt). But it could be even bigger, like the weapon stash that was found in the books and tv show, made of dragon scale or something, which is the only way to kill the White Walkers, or as they are called in the book, the "Others". If there is going to be a second season for the GOT game and hopefully even more, it could come in handy once "winter is coming"...

What I don't get is why Gregor told you it must not be lost, like House Forrester already held it. But we now know it's beyond The Wall and well outside Forrester land. I think it's a little presumptuous of him to lay a claim to it. When even the Starks would be hard pressed to claim dominion over anything north of the New Gift.
Winter is coming, and Telltale has ''a multi-year deal'' with Game of Thrones.
So season 2 is confirmed, maybe they will even make a 3rd season.
I really like the idea that the north grove could have the seedlings to re-forest barren land, that would be VERY useful going forward, as Whitehill's will destroy all stolen Ironwood.

Maybe the house motto has something to do with it.
The North Grove could be, as someone already said, a stash of Ironwood. and I would assume the North Grove is beyond the wall.
Maybe, when it says "Iron from Ice, it means that the stash is somewhere in The Lands of Always Winter?

You can tell Frostfinger? I missed that somehow.

Must never be lost to whom? The wildlings?
If it's so far out there, past the wall...
Maybe it's just me but I personally can't see a myth about a secret stash starting up I think it may be related to ironwood in someway though.

it's possible but you gotta agree that a secret stash of ironwood somewhere in the north is not comparable to the children of the forrest .
Maybe it's something to do with the Ice Dragon

I think Telltale ruined it by the name of the last episode. The Ice Dragon. It's something that is in the north and it's cold up there.
