No offense but did you really have to bump up this thread when there were already like 5 threads about a Wolf S2 on the first page? And no, Story Mode is not getting in the way of a Wolf S2.
Nope. If they weren't making Minecraft, they'd still be making another original game. Telltale has not announced a Season 2 of Wolf Among Us, nor have they said that they canceled/delayed the rhetorical second Season of Wolf for another game instead.
Ya know, since the Fables comics are ending, they could make a season 2 of the game taking place after it. They did something similar to the Michonne Series which takes place far into the comic storyline, so it's possible that IF there's a season 2 it'll be after the comic series is done.
Thing is though, is that you don't need to know much about Michonne or the events of TWD for that DLC. Unlike what you are suggesting, you would need to know quite a lot about Fables events and characters in order to be up to speed...
Like, stuff like this:
"Oh I didn't know Snow and Bigby got married and had 7 kids"
"Oh Beast is dead? And he has a daughter with Beauty called Bliss?"
Etc. etc... It is a nice idea, but I think it's too far-fetched

True about the need to be up in pace with the comics but Michonne had a lot happened to her as well throughout the series which seems highly likely that they'll bring up throughout the mini-series. So players would need to know more about her if they're new to her. And many players who were new to Wolf Among Us did some research on the Fables comics and got hooked. So in a sense, it could further promote the Fables series more by having people wanting to know more. Which will, ideally, lead to more sales of the comics.
You raise a good point, but let's be honest. The Fables universe is a lot more complex than TWD universe. More characters, some spread all over the place, magic, fairytales etc.
I'm a little worried for the Michonne DLC tbh, cuz while I am fully up to speed with the TV series, I haven't read any of the comics... I trust TellTale to make it work however...
But you can't continue a story that has been running for so long, and expect complete noobs to understand everything that is going on. It will promote comic views and sales, but it isn't a great way to promote, imo.

I think it's also how varied Fables is. It has like 10 different spin-off titles, all of which are linked into the main story somehow...
TWD is just one comic.
However, they could continue after Fables using characters we have either never met before, or using comic characters that haven't been expanded upon that much. I personally, would LOVE to play as the Cubs all grown up! XD
I have a strong feeling that they might make the next TWAU about one of the cubs. Especially sincethey can do whatever they want for the most part. They can make it about any of the cubs, or even what Bigby does after the events of the main comic.

Ain't that already 50% of what needs to be mentioned to play as one of the cubs? The mentioning would be something along the lines of "25 years after the events of season 1 Snow and Bigby ended up having 7 children, and married a couple years later. A few years later Snow and Bigby along with other Fables defeated Fabletown's sworn enemy, which lead to the decline of Fabletown, and eventually its end several years later. The events of this season take place 18 years after these events."
I disagree cuz that would mean explaining all the backstory to newcomers
Cubs? What happened to Fabletown? Wait, Bigby and Snow fucked, … moregot married and lived the fairytale dream?! Wait Fabltown is gone?!!
These questions are just a FEW! Imo, it cannot be done. It would be too unfair to those that haven't read the Fables comics...

It would be within the comic timeline. The skip between the battle that didn't happen and the big reunion. That is one of the best times for a sequel. Another prequel to the comic would be severely limited in terms of Bigby's chases as well as timeframe.
But that little intro is a HUGE kick in the balls to Bill Willingham's comic series!
Plus he would be the final decider, and I just don't see him doing anything set after Fables.... His word is final
But then it would only appeal to those that had read Fables all the way through. I would rather go in knowing everything that happened rather than getting a shortened version of events
There are opportunities for prequels everywhere in the world of Fables, and we don't have to play as Bigby...

For a Fables title there are a lot of possibilities, but for a sequel to season one it would have to be with Bigby or one of the cubs as the protagonist. Remember also that the histories can be within the game in extras.

Telltale will probably start all of this once they finish the finales for game of thrones and tales from the borderlands. Finish the new stories Minecraft story mode and Twd michoone.
They might make it then but idk maybe they'll decide to make twd S3 first

Dude, that post got proven as fake and unreliable MONTHS ago!
Hate to burst your bubble, but that site is the bane of our hopes and dreams for more TWAU
As Hazza said, that site is fake, the mere mention of that site causes us all to die a little more inside.
I have an idea: let's create a thread containing those fake reports to raise awareness and stick it, so everyone's gonna see it...
All your's bro
Fake websites, announcements, Winter Wolf, links to threads asking if there will be more
All of it!
The We want season 2 mega thread ! ;3
This kinda feels like Fallout 4. All the fake teasers and release dates just to get a response from the devs. Dedicated fans are dedicated.
Same here. Onions were chopped, tears were shed.
I still don't understand why Bethesda didn't do a Fallout 4.
... That's a debatable thing to say...
But fuck it, we want more!!! XD
That feel when the thread about the person wondering when Season 2 is coming out has over 17k views ;-;
Does the Pope shit in the woods?
There really stoping the wolf among us season 2 for a
Minecraft story mode?! Really?
I cant belive they just left us hanging

Good point, Fables did take longer to understand for me since it's not a stereotype like TWD. We'll just see how everything plays.

Motherf***g spoilers, what the fuck bro.
Shit! :O
It's too late for my eyes ;_;
So sorry dude...
I knew about Bigby and Snow but Beast
my favorite game BY FAR!

The game is releasing on October esse

This is true, but remember that not everyone will have read Fables. So would they really enjoy playing as one of Bigby's Cubs, instead of Bigby?
But the game is finally coming out, can't wait.
