I believe Genesis is almost entirely a metaphor, that the Hebrews used to explain creation and teach a lesson at the same time. I still apperciate though.

I have religious friends that love science. It's not hard to be both, unless you believe that everything in the Bible 100% happened and all that then you can't be both.

Yes, you make something new, but it doesn't always blend into a hybrid (a hybrid being a red flower and white flower making a pink flower in this instance) of colors. Who knows, we might find some answers for both sides. :P
