India may be getting better, but last I knew they were living like rats rummaging through the garbage in many populated areas, my god those pictures of the trash floating down the ganges as people bathed.... Hygiene anyone? Just recently their was a picture posted comparing the clarity of a Chinese city a few years ago and its current state. The amount of smog between the camera and the building was both awe inspiring and ghastly. I'm sure the entire country, in both cases, isn't entirely foul, but parts that are are far and away from most other "first world" places.

You're right about Australia's climate, but it is getting a bit cooler down here in Victoria. Middle of the year is when it gets cold and rainy. I'll have to agree on Australia being a bit conservative, but that's not gonna last. Abbott's losing support amongst his own party, and his approval rating is at an all-time low. He'll be lucky to make it to the next election. And Victoria's probably one of the more progressive states. I'm sure things are gonna change over here pretty soon.

I mean, the fact that you're taking a life simply because of their sexuality should be reason enough for people to just get over the fact that homosexuality exists and always will, but nothing good comes out of making efforts to deny gay people rights. It baffles me. Why make an effort to prevent something that does no harm to society while there are so many other issues worthy of our time? It makes absolutely no sense.
